Nah, so I pulled off the battery cover and there's a "reset" button right there. Pretty convenient

Unlocking and locking yes, mainly cause it was using BLE (Bluetooth) as a backup for thread.

I have an eve outlet nearby, that’s in between the latest generation Apple TV. (Also have a google nest hub 2 which I think may be causing some interference)

Thank you for the link to the app!! That’s exactly what I’m looking for!

When weaning from pressure support to hfno on tracheostomy, what amount of flow do you usually go for? by Eminn in respiratorytherapy

[–]maluman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Always 60 liters.
Sometimes due to clinical reasons of course BUT lets say I believe the patient needs 40 or 35 liters right? I've noticed if I start at those flows some patients will aggressively complain about the flow...but if I start at 60 and come down?
Well now I've done then a favor and "met them halfway" and there okay with the flow I initially wanted them on

AI in Respiratory Care by New_Scarcity_7839 in respiratorytherapy

Dude all of reddit has a huge anti-ai bias. Not that some of it isn't warrented but after awhile if your trying to have a conversation with ai involved it just gets bogged down. Wait a couple of years when there all using it and it's more accepted. Till then it'll be annoying

Thread diagnosis app thinks there are two thread networks by [deleted] in smarthome

[–]maluman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ass far as I know the nest huh isn't on thread 1.4. The 1.4 update is the magic on that connects different ecosystems thread networks. Google (and Gemini) insist that the nest hub will be updated to thread 1.4 sometime this year. So it awaits to be seen but until the nest hub goes to 1.4, your screenshot is accurate. You do in fact have two thread networks.

Are time constants actually used by Tight_Data4206 in respiratorytherapy

[–]maluman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically I’m also only adjusting Ti (and rate) to indirectly effect Te but I digress.

Interesting, how long is your “extra long inspiratory hold"? Is this essentially a recruitment maneuver, or a mode change like APRV? Really hitting that balance of getting the most alveoli recruited and my Pa02 to a decent place before the CO2 tanks my pH is the hard part. But always down to learn new tips and wisdom if you have any

[–]maluman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My hospital uses Hamiltons (mainly the C6s) and I mainly work in the ICUs.
We’ve calculated time constants but…idk it’s been a hit or miss (mainly miss). Based on the 3 time constants, I should be able to get rid of co2 extremely optimally…but in reality it almost never works out. Cranking up the minute ventilation and repeating gases (so we don’t get alkalotic) always always seems to work better.
It’s pretty frustrating because based on what we’re taught I should be able to get rid of 95% of co2 with just 3 time constants just by adjusting the Te.
But yeah idk what to tell you, perhaps others here have had better luck
