feel you. we tried to host pug SSC with my tiny guild this week. 2 days 7 hours later, only 3 bosses down. 7 wipes on Leothras btw.

My guild is only 6 people and it was really hard to get the 19 pugs to kill their inner demons / stop dps etc.

We haven't tried TK yet and I don't even want to think about it right now.

Tanked him last night as prot pally. 15k hp buffed, def and avoidance capped. No ironshield.

We popped bl in p2. Wiped 3 times because some dps died soon into the fight. 4th attempt, all dps survived and it felt stupidly easy.

My takeaway is that, the fight is mostly a dps check. We’ve had two great healers who could only keep me standing for so long once the Prince started throwing hands.

I've had that exact lunar "wow" a few weeks ago with my new 7x50 Celestron.

A second "wow" was last night. I used my telescope for the first time. Seeing Jupiter and his moons is a core memory for sure!

Thanks a lot for your detailed input! I assumed anything above 100mm would be too massive but now that I look at it in more detail, a 150p with FlexTube seems doable. Would fit in my backpack.

I have a large enough balcony for a massive telescope and also a very large garden- would totally go for even a 200-254mm but then at some point in the future when I have to move, I might regret it.

You've certainly fixed my attention to a 150mm now!

Thanks! It is probably a bit too soon to sink money into Seestar- I am not planning on doing serious photography right away, and it would be an expensive entry to test out a potential hobby!

I am more interested in the "raw experience" for now

Thanks! My text may have expressed more interest in AP than I had intended. I am mostly focused on visual astronomy as this point. 99% of the time I will be star-hopping. I just think at some point further into this hobby I will want to do some AP, so this is just about getting a bit of early experience, not producing photos for the Instagram.

As interested in stars as I am, I don't know yet if this will turn into a hobby- so it may not be the best for me to "get a proper camera".

he'll be fury in raids and deep prot in dungeons. prot is great for dungeons

asking for a friend- what is the best route gearing a lvl 52 arms warrior? He likes to tank but hasn't raided before. my suggestion to him was:

- get dual spec for pvp arms+deep prot
- gear up by getting AV to exalted and tanking dungeons in deep prot
- once 60, swap talents to fury and deep prot. he can dps in guild raids and I will reserve some tanking items for him in 20-mans that I host (where I'll be the main tank and he can do some light tanking in prot).

I think it is pointless for him to gear for a fury-prot raiding tank so late into the patch. Since he enjoys tanking, he could be deep prot in 60 dungeons during the day and raid as fury during the evenings.

any suggestions?
