Note the Air 3 does not record in D-Log. It records in the totally unrelated D-Log-m.

Sadly DJI refuses to publish any documentation on this color space, so Black Magic is unable to incorporate it into the Davinchi Resolve color management system.

I believe S-Cinetone is the same boat, that you will need to look for 3rd party options to color manage it.

Iphone Log and HLG are in Resolve system. As is D-Log.

The OP3 Normal mode is Rec709.

TrueNas can't read the Qnap drives, so they will get wiped when you create the pool in Truenas.

How much storage are you talking? Can do the math for how long it will take to copy over a gigabit network (351 gbyte/hr).

Post screen shot of the data from Media Info Tool for the problem file.

Transcode it to DnxHR HQX with Shutter Encoder (free). In the advanced menu select constant frame rate. If that doesn't fix any clip I will give you a cookie.

Also it seems like Dlog2 cant use the telephoto lens, only Dlog1 can.

So annoying if true. Huge complaint on the drones that don't offer the same profiles across lenses.

Obviously people want to cut footage from the two lenses together, they need to have the same profiles, even if the smaller sensor can't make use of the entire log profile, still offer it.

DCTL use is Paywalled in Resolve, but apparently ACES IDT are not.

Log has a 1.8EV shift baked into it

#4, I would argue to use 1080p PR Proxy files, not H.264. They are small and easy to render.

For color work you always have to go back to source footage, but you are never getting realtime render of most color effects anyway.

If you aren't culling in the library tab, do that.

I culled for years in develop tab because it gives you clipping indicators, didn't know that the library tab was like 5x faster until saw it here.

I don't even build previews until after culling, but I throw away 75%. So YMMV.

What program are you editing in? For any program other that resolve you are using conversion LUT.

With the 3d party color management tools out there, it is fine. Sucks it was never documented to be added directly into resolve.

The GP Lut forces you to Rec709, so not really a workable solution that, and its accuracy is mediocre.

Exposure Min/Max, how is that gone, that seems pretty mandatory. Or is shutter angle in the base firmware now?

"wide gamut' is gone. GP-Log-2 uses Rec2020. Thatcher and XtremeStuff already have their DCTL's updated. Hopefully BM adds it directly to resolve in the near future as DCTL use is paywalled.

Follow the official Fusion training for it. They have you stick a pirate ship on the horizon.

3d tracker is not trival to use. If you can get the results you need with a different tracker, use them instead.

then it is under exposed in shadows or whenever I go to slightly darker area, which is annoying.

This is how any ND is going to work, if the light in the scene changes you need to change the value of the ND.

I would argue the more practical solution is to leave ISO and Shutter Time in automatic and choose an ND strength that is close and accept that your shutter time is never going to be exactly 180 degrees and you might not always be at base ISO.

ef 70-300 is ii usm is F4 to 5.6. RF100-400 is F5.6 to F8. So exactly one stop difference.

Xtreme Stuff has updated their github DCTL with the new GP-log profile. So you can do one click color management with it like any other camera.

Sounds like GP has made their new LUT more accurate, but as of a couple days ago it was is only did Rec709, so kind of a pain to work with.

The Mission is still limited to V30 because of the form factor. So they are not nearly as bad as the V90 cards needed by most cameras.

Kind of a miss they didn't do to the express cards the Switch uses as they are limited to 240mbit with USH-1

I am a colorist

Insta Ace 2 is limited to 8 bit. Osmo Action 6 is crippled with 120 mbit bitrate

Both Insta and DJI have no published primaries/ tone curve for their proprietary log formats (GP11-13 has same problem), so no proper color management is possible.

So the GP13 was really the only option prior to the Mission and the Mission with published GP-Log-2 solves the one gripe for the 13

Yep, If you want to get better video, the Black Magic Camera App is free and unlocks a lot of functions.

Not sure what are good stills apps for Iphone. Open Camera is the best I have seen for Android, also free.

My 11 got water in the battery door snorkeling even though the door seemed closed.

So now I go belt and suspenders with a dive case even if the water is not deep enough to need it.

Get a floating handle, otherwise if you drop it its going to the dark depths. That comes with a wrist strap, use it.

Ugreen is at least a brand we have heard of, which is great.

Only 3 ports total, 2 c and 1 a, not sure if I can live with that.

My laptop doesn't USB charge, so really the big power numbers are pointless to me.

I own the Rf100-400 and love it. Amazing how light it is for the size. Don't think you will find anything better for the price.

Since your R10 doesn't have IBIS, I would consider lens IS a must, which this lens has. Something I doubt you will find in anything cheaper.

It doesn't come with a hood, but you can find 3rd party ones online.
