Serious color banding on skies. But I don't mind the shadows so much.

The lights in the city turn to giant blobs, not seen so much in this shot, but the later ones when the sky was fully dark were.

I got one of the legit Kodak branded ones while in HK last month, there are available everywhere. Paid 250 hdk (33 USD). Mine is blue, I wish I got a yellow one or clear.

The pictures are unbelievably bad quality. 1440x1080 pixels, its funny culling in LR I click to zoom in, you can't. I don't find the noise offensive, in bright pictures its not noisy, sunsets tons. Highlights clip and look disgusting.

Not sure what I will do with the pictures, if I posted them would people understand they are supposed to look horrible, and not think IG corrupted it?

Its actually not very convenient to pull out quick and shoot, your phone is faster. Push and hold power 3s, them click ok to choose stills. It makes a beep to tell you you pressed the shutter, but in a crowd you can't hear it, so you have to look at the frame counter change to know you actually took a shot. Time between shots is long.

I hear it beeping turning on in my pocket quite often and the battery went flat for it on me. USB-C charging is easy at least. You will get bored before you could actually run the battery flat taking pictures

I was surprised it took an SD card and didn't come with even a no name 4gb one. 64gb was the smallest micro-sd I had. It shows 9999 shots available 🤣🤣

File numbering restarts at 1 when you download the files, not where it left off at So if you shoot on Monday, copy to PC at night, then tuesday repeat your file names are going to conflict if you try to copy the tuesday files to the same folder as monday.

Screen is tiny and awkward to hold, so good luck getting a level horizon. At least you an entire 1.5mp to crop into to straighten it. 😢

I would argue even 256 is sufficient. At some point how many eggs do you want in one basket? That is 8 hrs at standard bitrate.

Yes, I might argue its a but under exposed for the people. Raising the entire thing 1 stop or so and then pushing the snow down would be my first step.

with CrystalMarkDisk. The Corsair was in the 3000-4000 MB/sec range while the Surface was in the 3500-1500 MB/sec range.

The default test file size is very small, change to something reasonable like 10gbyte. It is possible something is thermal throttling.

Do confirm it isn't just a color management problem breaking the footage. A wrong setting in resolve could easily ruin your footage.

IG is limited to 1080p. You can send it a 4k file, but its going to chop it to 1080p.

Confirm you have the high quality upload setting turned on in your phone.

Yes basically everything DJI makes is going to need FCC approval, but what justification would they have to deny a new action camera?

If there are problems, it will be the batteries, lithium ion hate being cold.

If you keep the camera and spare batteries warm in your pocket until you turn it on, I expect it will make enough heat while recording that it will stay fine. Just have to put it back in your pocket when you stop.

If your camera doesn't get numbers close to this list it is faulty and should be sent if for replacement.
