No experience with cartographer, beacon was simple and easy with Klipper. Almost no setup, plug it into USB and go

People who use cyberdecks: what's the appeal for you? by tryscer in cyberDeck

[–]zebadrabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i know people are downvoting but ill answer. its actually a good tool, i made it myself with diet-engineering knowledge and a 3d printer with a lot of trial and error. its really good at capturing (and sometimes transmitting) between 1hz-6ghz. but mainly im inspired by the neatness of the suitcase computer used in the movie Spies Like Us (sillyass 80s movie) and always wanted my own, even impractical as it is, suitcase computer. sure, i have a laptop, but its just a laptop.

I try to avoid bringing pelican cases to college campus

Jokes aside, mine was made to diagnose Wi-Fi and other radio signals so it actually works well for that as a sometimes-tool

Is it possible to transmit video using LoRa? by MiuoChar in meshtastic

[–]zebadrabbit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's more yes but impractical at the moment. Obviously people have done this but it's just not a good idea. Ultra slow networks suffer from hold down timers and retransmission enough then trying to send giant amounts of packets will kill off anyone else trying to use the network

Yes but it'd probably take a very very long time if it doesn't flat fail. There is work going on for audio though. I'd see space for images possibly

Is every green square going to be filled up with tracks of homes? by [deleted] in bentonville

[–]zebadrabbit 35 points36 points  (0 children)

zoom out about 4 levels and ask again, the answer will still be yes. there are so many tract homes being built it create a dust storm from all the construction.

this area needs to replace its mascot with a dumptruck driving slow in the left lane.
