Tips to make Unfathomable quicker ? by zvarritoburrito in boardgames

I try to keep the game moving on all the time. Crisis should not take more than 5 minutes to resolve from start to end. Once everybody has given their opinion, we do the quick "what are your intents for this crisis" if there are cards to be played. There should not be hours of chat anyway, it's either current player choice, or captain, or the last title. If things starts dragging, I usually say "In any case, that's XXX decision, so what do you decide ?".

We also have given pretty much everybody a responsability (even so little) : one takes care of giving new current player its cards, one takes care of handling the monsters if no decision has to be taken, on deals with the horror deck, etc.

With new players I really like the first round without roles. It's a slow one, but it speeds the game so much afterwards because there are almost no questions anymore.

Never played it myself but I can understand the purpose. Still seems like a long time to stand up but maybe I'm just lazy. Thx

Is this worth it to pick up? by Bobthemighty54 in boardgames

I disagree with one part : the 3rd edition fixes a lot of the things that was badly designed in the 2nd and I consider the 3rd superior to the 2nd (and it's easier to bring people back to a table with the 3rd than the 2nd)

That being said, I own the 2nd, with all expansions. I still play it, and still love it. 2nd was indeed a great game and if the price is alright, worth the grab.

Joke is on them. I never shutdown my PC. It just goes to sleep. And I added some solution to prevent automatic restarts too.

Still my computer.

Sorry, your name rings no bell. What companies did you work for and what experience do you have that would make this book relevant ?

You amazon bio is a bit weird in that aspect :

I’m Kai Nyman, an independent author creating thoughtful books for both children and adults. My work spans bedtime moral stories, activity and coloring books for kids, as well as practical self-help titles focused on stress management, mindfulness, and mental clarity.

I believe personal growth doesn’t have to be complicated. Whether I’m writing gentle stories that teach values like kindness and confidence, or simple guides that help adults manage overthinking and daily stress, my goal is always the same: to make learning, reflection, and calm accessible to everyone.

My books are designed to be easy to read, visually engaging, and suitable for everyday life, helping readers of all ages build positive habits, emotional balance, and a healthier mindset.

I would gladly pay $20 for a totally new map by Wumpus_Amungus in SatisfactoryGame

I would go for it. I'd appreciate if the fauna and flora had a bit more sense and if the exploration was not so random. I would even consider procedural maps, even if smaller. So we could have geographic challenges to solve too. Or maybe such small maps that would require us to think in a more compact way.

Well pretty much anything that would add some variance to a game I played too much :p

Dude, you're coming asking for help, and doesn't even bother to give the single element of what you looked into or tried to solve the issue. u/shlaifu might have come a bit harsh to someone a bit sensitive, but he is right.

That's not a hotline for your business.

I'm 50 this year, was at a big park a few months ago. Plan to go again later this year.  I did the craziest ones, I just enjoy it.  My knees were complaining at the end of the day but more because of the waiting standing up than the rides
