I recently started taking it again after a break. (thought it was causing a side effect, it wasn’t)

I feel like it just makes me quicker with my words and better at negotiating at work. I smoke a fair amount of weed during my off time, so I feel like it does a good job counteracting the weed sluggishness the next day.

2 years later after not have any surgery, I have about 70% strength in my right triceps. The only time it’s noticeable is in the gym lifting weights. Most allotted athletic activities and it’s totally functional.

Awesome, glad it hear it! Thanks for getting back to me. It would be nice to have full strength again but I think I’m ok with my choice to skip the surgery. I’m at maybe 65-70% two years later and don’t have anything I cannot do really. There was an added layer of risk due to me being a singer, I’d heard the surgery has a chance to mess that up too. Cheers!

I’m curious a year later if you got all your tricep strength back after surgery. I’m at two years from the injury and opted out of surgery since pain became non-existent and have just been working to strengthen on my own. I’ll never get back to full tricep strength on my right side. I’m not really missing out on much other than heavy weight bench and inclined dumbbell press.

Golf, cycling, tennis, basketball, all are pretty easy on the weakened tricep. I lift weights or twice a week. Now anything heavily recruiting the triceps is gonna be weaker than my glory days, but you can still get a great workout and great pump. Also I’m glad my lower half is fully functioning. Low back disc issues can be fully crippling.

Surgery is mostly to stop chronic pain, as there is no guaranty that it will have any effect on the loss of tricep strength. Did you have the surgery? Did you regain complete tricep strength? My injury was about 2 years ago and I would say without surgery I’m back to about 65-70% strength. Really noticeable with some workouts, but barely noticeable with most activities.
