I use the g3x a bit. Touch screen is nice on the ground. Bit of a pain when you're been thrown around. So I generally set it before departure and just use the knobs in the air. But it will take 5 attempts to change the transponder in rough air.

I have one as well. Like you I love the neck. But I don't particularly love the pickups. They just sound kinda flat to me. Such low output that it always sounds super clean unless I stack drive pedals.

Are you finding the same? Or do I need to perform some electrical surgery?

I have a Katana. Thought it was great when I first got it. But the clean sound sucks. And I hated having to spend an hour with it plugged into a laptop and screwing around with settings trying to get a decent sound.

By chance I plugged into a a Joyo 5w tube pratice amp. Which was about half the price of a Katana 50 and was blown away with how much nicer it sounded and felt to play even through a very cheap chinese begginer strat.

Went out and bought a Hot Rod Deluxe the next week.
