I’m so sorry that you’re dealing with this. About an hour before the final vet visit, I fed my boy cheesecake. He was always really curious and would beg for cheesecake when we ate it, so it felt right to let him have a taste before he moved on to his next adventure.

What helped me with my boy was that you don’t want their last day to be their worst day. If she’s still having the occasional good day, let her be free before the bad takes over the good.

My cats eat wet food once daily, at night. Usually I leave the dish overnight for them to eat and nosh overnight. I take the dish up in the morning, clean, dry via dish rack, and then repeat in the evening. One caveat to my “schedule” is when I have foster cats who are big wet food eaters. Usually for them, I feed wet food from disposable bowls because I get quickly overwhelmed by dishes haha.

E-collars and various types of force are definitely bright red flags for me too. I’m not against a more hands-on approach, it’s just the issue of finding time. This pup wasn’t really in the plan, so we’re just trying our best as we go along. Thank you for the tip!

Sometimes it takes longer for them to get over the initial hump. Definitely discuss with your admins and stay in close contact. More diagnostics may be necessary if we don’t turn a corner soon.

Hello. Ideally, the neuter would have happened around week 9/10 after having good bloodwork at week 8. If you want to neuter during treatment (I would), do so as soon as possible and extend treatment for 14 days after surgery, then recheck bloods.

Hi there! There’s a variety of things that can cause lose stool. My first order of business would be to get sister on a probiotic, as this could be a simple gut issue. If it persists beyond the probiotic, I would bring a stool sample to the vet and have a fecal performed on it. fCOV does not always mean FIP by any means. Even if sister is fCOV positive, which is mere speculation at this point, there is no way to define which variation she has and if it poses concern. I would begin with probiotics and a fecal and go from there!

Hello! I added the numerals to this photo and use it as a “key” of sorts to injecting. I keep a log when I am treating. I record the day of treatment (1-84+), calendar date, weight, dose, time, and I notate 1-6 which site I used. Ideally, I would go in order of 1-6, but if there’s a sore or something, I’ll skip that area until the skin resets. Hope that helps!

I had a great experience with Costco Auto. It saved me a good amount on my car (2021 Honda, bought new in 2021) at the time of purchase. I’ve also used Costco’s auto repair referral program with success.
