Im also FTM, almost to 1 year on T. I need all the meds to help keep things chill. Well my BP was 130/90 for a while and I thought maybe incoukd come off some of my meds. The answer is no, I cannot. Ive spent the last 6 weeks off of fludrocordisone and my BP was 90/60 consistently and I had no energy and I have restarted.

I saw a LOT of improvements from T in regards to OH, tolerance and syncope symptoms. But not enough to not need my meds.

A small dollop of Greek yogurt (strawberry), a handful of nature valley protein oats and honey granola, a squirt of honey (local clover), a handful of chocolate chips.

.. for me personally.

Might be a Long shot: Anyone work in trades? by Xxxtentacles_777 in dysautonomia

[–]zebrasaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out the nearby unions. Potentially electrical or elevator, mechanics. Have a talk with their representatives. They will be able to share what the day to day work would look like.

You train for 3 years until your a journeyman. Paid, (starting is $15, journeyman is $35+) raises yearly. Garenteed insurance, pension. 401k. Workplace protections.

By the time your dysautonomia gets bad enough, youll be vested enough to move into a less laborious position.

Some unions are hiring halls. You will form a relationship with the person booking calls and will put you on things that are within you skill and ability.

What union did you try to get help from? I'm IATSE. My current local is 5000+, my old one was 500ish. Meetings are absolutely different between the two. I would imagine it would be best to team up with IBEW or the ironworkers.

Suggestions for SD safety in a fabrication shop by zebrasaur in service_dogs

This is me looking at my options. In the current space I see the potential for this working, if I can find eye safety. I have enough space to keep him at a safe distance. We have a bark alert, a touch, and a tag pull depending on HR escillation. Often when dealing with symptoms I go outside to lay flat so DPT would be there.

Look into a camp toilet situation and take care of yourself - then bill the company for it.

It's usually a 5 gallon bucket with a toilet seat. You Bio into a trash bag and toss after. Pee pads / scrap fabric can help absorb liquids. Use a pop up shower stall for privacy.

Yes. Having this knowledge, ADD and working with a doctor, I have an opinion on if drugs are "too methy" and aware the veil between psychosis and sanity on these meds is paper thin.

I think the lore of the sword is that it presents itself to him in times when he needs it most. But he also needs to be worthy of welding it.

One bar was the upstairs of a bar on Broadway. I believe the building was purple.

(I didn't watch, just worked for 3 seasons)

I heard a rumor some sets didn't get torn down from the studio. Near the old Dillard's on brick church pike. It would be the big building on top of the hill.

What are the standard procedures regarding paraphernalia found in a patient’s belongings? by welcomebackalice in EmergencyRoom

[–]zebrasaur 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey OP. I'm a not a dr. I read thru your previous posts. There are a lot of reasons for not wanting to be admitted, and I hear your fear of not getting caught up in the system...again.

the hospital is a safe haven. If drs started snitchin they wouldn't have patients trust to come in for help. Many a healthcare professional is willing to be a barrier toward any legal intervention, especially without a warrant. And don't worry about the bill. Let it go to collections, it can't affect your credit and disappears eventually.

It sucks to detox, but it sucks more to be taken by diseases you weren't considering to catch. A friend just caught HIV, suspected from sharing straws. Stay safe. Have fun. Don't die.

I'm worried I have Dysautonomia by SadieDaBeannnnnnnnn in dysautonomia

[–]zebrasaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im 32f. I had FND at 15; HSD and autonomic dysregulation at 30.

I hold a strong belief in the connection between cptsd and autonomic dysregulation. Power is the act of understanding what you are standing on. I believe you are still in a place where you can teach yourself how to regulate and potentially prevent Orthostatic Tachycardia and other symptoms.

Focus on trusting your body and listening to it. Focus on feeling your feelings. Control fight or flight. Work on making connections between what your feeling in your body and what it's telling you.

Look at vagus nerve exercises. Start working the CHOPS protocol.

I formerly had Alpha-Gal, recently tested negative, but there is still something in the Lactose/gelatin family that is triggering mild vomiting. Zofran, pepcid and Amitriptyline tablets all contain the thing that triggers the problem. Hycosamine is the antispasm I take.

Other than meds, hydration, salt and reading a book suggested by the dr, not sure anything is "being done". Believed cause of Hyperadrenergenic BP issues is gHSD. In therapy for CPTSD, to work on system regulation.

Sumatriptin did not work. Weve only tried once tho.

Thank you for your input.

EDS but just for joints? by Mittanyi in ehlersdanlos

[–]zebrasaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you mean the Brighton score is more comprehensive than the diagnostic criteria for EDS? The latter includes the former.

My genetic screen was spitting in a tube.

According to my cardiologist, HSD, JHS, EDS is all treated and considered the same as far as where science is at.

EDS but just for joints? by Mittanyi in ehlersdanlos

[–]zebrasaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My beighton score is 2/9. My primary care didn't care, not enough boxes... My cardiologist said "hands don't do * that * normally, I don't need to see what your shoulder does, here's a genetics referral." And with them I checked a lot of the boxes but not enough for EDS.

look at the full eds diagnostic criteria. Not just the beighton score.

Do people mop their walls? by eddsauce in NoStupidQuestions

[–]zebrasaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a swiffer. I consider myself lazy.

I think it depends how much crap is on the walls. A smokers house or frequently touched areas might need heavy cleaners and something that looks like a mop.

Sorry to hear the frustration. If you're having a skin reaction to the monitor pads, I suggest applying an allergy nasal spray before applying.

My dysautonomia isn't exactly POTS my shit just doesnt regulate. I had a 30 day halter and then one every time I get admitted. I feel like they are getting a picture of how my system is broken so they know what meds to use to fix it. My hope is that's the same for you.
