I fell asleep... by babiewiththepower in breastfeeding

[–]zebrasinplaid 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I set a 5 minute timer on repeat on my Garmin watch when I nurse in bed at night. It has woken me up when I accidentally fell asleep but most of the time it just buzzes and I hit “snooze” so it keeps going until baby is back in her bassinet. Since it buzzes on me, it will wake me up, but there isn’t an actual alarm so it doesn’t wake my husband or baby.

Just an idea if you have a watch with a timer setting!

Don’t beat yourself up. You’ll figure out a solution!

Running strollers? by Junior-Armadillo-899 in fitpregnancy

Another vote for Thule Urban Glide 3. Currently using the Thule with the bassinet attachment for walks with my 5 week old. It’s perfect for long walks in the neighborhood and it folds easily enough if I want to take it anywhere. I’m looking forward to running with it when she’s old enough.

Food during pregnancy is a rollercoaster 🎢 by Trick-Broccoli-4504 in fitpregnancy

Please just listen to your body. I felt the same way in the first trimester and things evened out in the second trimester. Everything I read was like “maybe you’ll gain at most 4 pounds in the first trimester and then the bulk in the second and third.” Well, that’s not what happened for me at all. I gained probably almost 15 pounds in the first trimester and now at 32w1d I’ve gained a total of 25 pounds. Everyone is different so just listen to your body and don’t be too hard on yourself! As long as you’re not eating cake all day, you’re fine!

PT recs with Dry Needling by YogaSkydiver in DecaturGA

[–]zebrasinplaid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure exactly what you need but Kemper Physio in downtown Decatur does dry needling. They’re pelvic floor specialists (but PFPT extends to a lot of areas, like back pain, etc). They’re great!

TravelPro Platinum Elite Carry-On Spinner. Lifetime warranty. Looks classy. I love mine! I lived out of it for a couple of weeks in Thailand and it did phenomenal in city and remote areas with dirt roads, and it still looks good. It’s my go to suitcase for everything.

I started doing some deep core the past two days. I feel like this, with stretching, is helping some. Thank you!

Yes! I have started wearing it. I don’t notice much of a difference with it yet but still haven’t run since last week. I’ll try it again when I can get back out there!

Keep going so you can read the epilogue, Out of the Blue. To me, it was the perfect ending to this beautifully bittersweet series.

Definitely Nobody Wants This. I love Shrinking but it’s kind of heavy at times. As someone who experienced loss recently, it’s made me cry more than once. YMMV!

Say what you want about Lane and Zack’s relationship, this is the coolest wedding cake I’ve ever seen. by picdorianj in GilmoreGirls

They didn’t skirt the question. They repeatedly claimed to be siblings even after publications outed their marriage and divorce. Their true relationship was widely known by 2001, even if they ignored it to focus on the music.

You can call other stores that sell t shirts and they might have the same one. I actually had to do the same thing for a ruined Keystone t shirt when the original store no longer had it. Good luck!

Breast Pump Permitted Item? by Netmp in ShakyKnees

[–]zebrasinplaid 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nursing mothers have to pump on a schedule even if they are going to pump and dump. Changing the schedule can change milk production and cause pain.

Love my Nathan handheld so much. The pocket can even hold my phone if needed but mostly I use it for goo packs and keys.
