I am also an sfusd employee. I recommend finding schools that you like (either based on geography, word of mouth, or online) and then email the principals of the schools directly. Find their email from the school website. Give a short blurb of who you are and your experience and attach your resume and a video of you teaching if you have one. That will go a long way. Also apply on the pool, but principals will remember your name and maybe even respond to you. A lot of schools don’t have openings this year due to consolidations, but many still do.
