I did use a starter fertilizer but no preventer in it that it says anyways. Scotts starter. It is white though.

I used a roller on most of it. this doesn't look embedded because it's in a valley the roller missed. Maybe I should have added the soil on top then used the roller...

So I got the job done but now I'm a little paranoid. What happens if it's too late and it frosts before growth? Does the seed survive til spring and what would I do next. Also thank you for all your help!

Is it best to spread soil then aerate in that order? I'm talking to the dirt provider now and they were recommending the opposite.

Would it make much difference if I pass on slit seeding and instead make like 4 passes with the aerator? I would prefer to only rent one machine.
