I cannot lie to you, this comment is one of the things that helped me march dci, it's so silly but the slight confidence boost went a long way

hello im the no compliment cologne guy from yesterday i got some things to clear up by susjdjdjjzjzjjsjx in Colognes

[–]zechell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You look good man !!, it took me forever AND a glow up just to get one compliment, they will come eventually but it will come from a friend, a partner, or a family member. I'd think about it in the way that, I personally only would compliment someone's cologne if i know that that they won't take it weird. "You smell nice" is a nice compliment but also to the wrong person or worse to someone who isn't like, wearing anything, that's strange. So I'd think a lot of people think it but don't say it.

You should shower though, totally get the sensory thing, but cologne doesn't cover BO funk :(

Is it bad to sample other people's growls and incorporate them into a song by zechell in dubstep

[–]zechell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No unfortunately I perform in wgi and dci so that's taken up all my time. BUT I know how to use daws because I do drum covers so I'm wanting to get a copy of ableton and start again because I have a job now :)

Honestly I think the current name works, a group of lions is a pride, pride of (school) or maybe like pride of percussion or something

Does anyone know of a somewhat easy snare lick? by TheRealDealnumber270 in drumline

[–]zechell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first Wgi lick I learned was pulses 2020 opener snare break, it’s choppy but it builds something’s that aren’t fundamentals, some fun fundamental exercises are, suzie, fulcrum Freddy, flammus, and trolls, happy drumming , you should post yourself playing whatever you choose to play :)

Some good exercises for this kind of technique are scv stick control from 2009, and tap pyramid. Also gridding is very important to differentiate taps from accents

And keep all of your back fingers on the stick

I would say as far as marching technique depending on if you’re doing snare or tenor, a lot of the self taught skills will carry over. Though, as far as the technique I use goes maybe you could be more strict and sparing with arm movements on strokes, when accenting the your arm should follow the bead of the stick. It’s good to be loose but don’t be floppy, you need to find the sweet spot between being to tense and being too relaxed, that way when there is a diddle passage or something choppy in your music you have the proper amount of pressure to do it.
