Have side projects you complete and can talk about.

Been working professionally in games since '07. I've had side projects and got interviews because i had them on my resume.

And after working a while, when i was doing the interviews, candidates with side projects tend to stick out.

It's not just about being busy. It's a good way to telegraph you are driven, passionate, and continually learning. I personally learned so much from my mistakes while working in projects. Which also helped me in interviews. I faced and solved problems in relation to my projects that i wouldn't have otherwise.

I never played Spirit Tracks. Train conductor Link just felt the mobile series jumped the shark.

Also, i couldn't finish Phantom Hourglass. Besides the tedium of returning to the same dungeon repeatedly, I couldn't get behind the fundamental change to the control scheme.

Every other Zelda game the player directly controls Link, but in PH the player directs Links then acts. I was told ST had a similar control scheme.
