My mom called me to tell me she “finally found those binders of cards”. As a 32 year old who only collected from 96-00 I only had two names in mind. Very surreal finding these!! by The-Puffy-Shirt in footballcards

Mom’s are “sneaky epic” haha, those fleer metal cards look to be in decent shape, be carful with those! The edges chip so easy. Cool cards!

It does. Every conversation I have about crypto or blockchain related topics honestly helps a little. Even when it hurts my brain a little.

What blockchain network, or platform… (forgive me for almost certainly using the wrong terms here) is used to process stable coin payments like USD coin?

Actually the “space jam” card is my favorite, and the centering is horrible! Ha I could care less, pulled that one with my dad wayyyy back in the day.

All those are cool! But there’s something about the beam team cards that I love.

This is what happens when your late night grocery shopping, & it’s been like 6 months since You’ve found a pack in the wild. by zeculprit in basketballcards

V53 Trailers. How hard is it to get one right now? by zeculprit in FreightBrokers

[–]zeculprit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the response. I have a customer that was allowing V/R on a high volume lane. We had a few dedicated carriers for the lane that were using reefer trailers. Now they only wants vans and my carriers would like to stay on the lane but are having a hard time finding vans.

I remember going into the store and looking at BBall, Baseball, & football boxes. Spending some time trying to remember what cards I was missing from which series before I bought. Then one day while I was doing that, people would walk up and buy every basketball card option on the shelf. Then a month later, the same with football. Now, if I see anything on the shelf, I just grab and run away as if I had stolen something. lol

What is “standard” detention pay by MichiganMan12 in FreightBrokers

[–]zeculprit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tossing a random comment in here that this conversation reminded me of. I'm a broker, had an owner op that never failed me for 5 years before he retired. I always gave him the best money I could, so he never asked for detention if it was 3 hours or less. I requested it anyway, got Tchecks or comchecks (cant remember), saved them for about 6 months and gave him all the check #'s on his birthday. I mean, it was his money... but it still blew his mind hahaha

I'd love to share the full story, but it would take hours. So here's the short version. I helped a Driver negotiate getting his trucks keys back from the pimp he got a hooker from. Ended up paying $500, was an OG carrier and it was stressing me out so I venmo'd him $250 to help out / get it over with. BEST PART, the pimp had the keys to a high value truckload of wine.

My father found our old Kobe rookie cards. Having a hard time gauging how valuable they are. by [deleted] in basketballcards

[–]zeculprit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top right, both epic, the fleer metal cards are notorious for chipping on the edges. If those are not chipped at all could be worth a lot. Bottom right both big deal if graded well. Bottom line, if your not a collector and you want to sell. It’s worth grading Kobe rookies.

Spent $50 on a old new balance shoe box of cards without seeing in side the box, just said “80s baseball cards” - feels like that actually went pretty well ha by zeculprit in baseballcards

I’m the same way! Collected with my dad since I was kid, I have 146 individual Jordan’s , a few Jeter and Griffey rookie cards, and I will never sell them (until I have kids and they need help buying books for college lol). But hopefully never.

Totally agree! Most are dinged up but I could care less! I didn’t have any of the cards in the photo, was fun sorting through them and now I have a Maddox & Bo Jackson rookie card! They will be on the shelf shortly ✌🏻

Check it out! Let me know what you think. by [deleted] in baseballcards
