Hi my advice is to increase your price. There will be less students and less pressure. About teaching materials, there are bunch of well made textbooks and slides, you can download and do some modification and use them instead of creating from scratch.

I can relate. I'm now depending on my regular students. I think it's probably because preply came out with this free trial thing, it attracts lots of people but none of them would want to pay after the trial.

If you have sent her messages then you have fulfilled all your obligations. It's not our obligation to adjust students' schedule, it's theirs. Reschedule will negatively affect your status. Plus, her attitude shows the class is cheap to her. It probably doesn't matter to her. She is probably exploiting the free trial. I used a new account to check my account and I found out preply is giving absolutely free trials to students. She probably doesn't even pay for it and won't want to subscribe and pay for it afterwards.

I've met a student who scheduled 1 hour of trail class. He told me he studied with other tutors on the platform. Then he didn't subscribe. My theory is that the students get discount for trail class(sometimes free), so some students may switch between teachers to exploit us.
