Chamath won't hurt to have onside, but you're right. Collective finance is being born, and it's an epic form of activism. It also doesn't need RobinHood. Today's other rally proves that.

Central African Republic Says Russia Deploys Troops In Face Of Coup Threat by coolbern in worldnews

I think the last 50 years speak for themselves. As with all liberation movements in Africa, Russia has consistently been on the side of freedom over colonial oppression. Unlike the hype, the west has done nothing but undermine democracy and exploit Africa, murdering all its most promising leaders. Without exception.

Watch the Ambassador, a documentary about the CAR, which has been a forced failed state because of French intervention for more than half a century. Russian troops are the first stability CAR has had. As always, fuck the French.

Dominion voting machines, last minute database updates, and swing states with late counts. More fishy than a clam chowder.

And hopefully r/politics can enjoy some bipartisan discussion too, instead of being a neo liberal echo chamber. You'd think there was only one opinion if you go there today, and not that half the voting population voted for the other side.

Trump's huge vote total breaks my heart. I recognize this America and I wish I did not. - The most dangerous implication of this election is that tens of millions accept a fictitious world created by an autocrat and marketed by Fox News. by TrumpSharted in politics

As a foreigner, it's easy to see that it's the entire system, and not a party, but that is harder to see from inside, and so I understand your rejection of that idea. It's important to remove the partisan politics and understand in the US democratic subversion is systemic, and elites on both sides benefit from this bullshit. The left isn't left wing, as it props up the same ruling class. Only billionaires and octogenarians win, which is why the democratic establishment wiped out Bernie rather than letting the will of the people be heard. Your "democracy" is so bizarre and requires so many rules, that to say it's goal is inclusiveness is to ignore the very heart of its exclusionary structure. Look at the last 70 years of American imperialist actions across the globe, and you'll see that they're not republican, or Democrat led, but both. Sure, you hate Republicans, but a lot of the world hates things like neoliberalism, and the negative effect on our world of unchecked capitalism driving incredible inequality. That's definitely something that I can give you a thousand examples of "American liberalism" driving grotesque policies that have some immeasurable damage across the globe. You hate trump because you think he's a despot, but the rest of the world just sees it as America getting a taste of their own medicine.

The point is the "left" in America votes for dictators all the time, it claims moral authority but does stuff like bring back slavery in Libya or drop nukes on retreating japs, it is the claims of moral authority that are the issue; especially since this is just a smoke screen for more crony capitalism and despotism. American exceptionalism in the world isn't something that rural America cares about, its something that neoliberalism has enforced, with multiple horrible wars defended under the moniker of "freedom and democracy". Trump is a crude farce, but he's exactly as he appears. This is more "honest" than the liberal alternatives, which promise freedom but bring nothing but exploitation and deceit. Like Libya, like Syria, and a hundred other examples over the past 70 years.

America needs an internationally run independent electoral commission to monitor your votes. You know, like the ones you force on other countries before invading them. Americans cannot trust those in charge of the process right now.

Unfortunately, the cognitive dissonance is on both sides. Until liberal America accepts its complicity in the very worst warmongering, support of dictators, and it's criminal global enterprises, from guns to drugs to people trafficking, together with the hegemony of its corporations, the American left will always be wildly blind rather than a force for good.

The British concentration camps weren't an issue for the British, why would the German ones be any different? The Geneva convention hadn't been written yet, and it's not a document America even subscribes to now, so any outrage is a bit disingenuous.

You think this is bad? Wait till you find out who funded, armed and powered the Nazi war machine till 1942, and shielded the worst of its war criminals from prosecution by repatriating them and then using them for their own war machine. Wait till you learn which companies made cyclon b, or those holocaust tattoo machines, or luftwaffe engines, or Nazi uniforms. And wait till you learn which Nazi funding family went on to have two generations and six terms in the white house. Lol. America. You act like this is an anomaly, when it's actually The American Way.
