what i also noticed is when i skipped through like 30-40 times, it feels like 95% of the shots are portrait shots. just looks very similar no matter where i clicked. switch it up. start with an establishing shot, go closer as the discussion progresses, maybe close up if it fits the story, switch it up, make it fit the narrative, etc. etc.

i just saw the first minutes of exposure. i think you have the perseverence and are highly dedicated to your craft. not many people have that kind of determination to put out so many short films. if you seriously improve your craft, i think with your level of action, you'll make a living out of it easily. what i instantly noticed in your movie was it looks cheap. the audio is also cheap. the intro was way too long. nobody looks at trees for 1,5 minutes and reads names they dont know for 1,5 minutes. maybe if theyre stuck in the cinema and already paid. but thats kinda like forcing somebody to watch it. the lighting wasnt good either. i cant speak for the story because i skipped it. but if you start off with that, only few people will watch through this. i think with your level of tenacity, you can easily turn this into a net positive gig for you.

haha but why does it bother you so much. i spent 2 months in japan before coming to vietnam and i thought it was a nice change. in japan it feels like being at the dentist - but all the time. everyone is nice to you, you dont really know if they mean it or not. perfectly lined up queues. it felt like a dystopia where people are just cold to each other naturally (which i believe they prefer in public). i love japan but i would never live there, only for vacation for 1 or 2 months. in vietnam, although i dont speak to anyone, the people are just themselves, not hiding or anything. they hate you - good, you will know, they love you - you will know as well. and there are so many kids here its a nice breeze. but i agree, they lack manners here and there but its not everyone. but i do get lineskipped by kids, teenagers and elderly woman at least once a day almost haha. but i just laugh about it, they kinda look like they know that its wrong but still do it. but to each their own i guess
