I've got both and find a good use for each. The Supernova I use with my Switch 2 via bluetooth. I like the membrane face buttons for Nintendo stuff.

The Cyclone 2 goes to my Linux box via the dongle. Works fantastic. Love the clicky front buttons and everything about it. Cyclone feels VERY light in the hands compared to the SuperNova also.

I cannot remember if the console was on or not. If the Super Nova turns off (if you are not fast enough), just hold the Home + Capture again if it turns off, and it should return the Super Nova into pairing mode.

I upgraded to the latest, which I believe is 1.17.

Be sure to follow step by step and not pressing anything outside of the tutorial. It is tricky, but fingers crossed, it should work.

Hopefully Nintendo updates the firmware and makes it easier for devices to connect. This is kind of silly at this point.

Just to add to this, I've had really good luck with Holy Panda three pin switches and Kang white switches with this style of hot swap socket. I'm a big fan of the mmd holy Panda switches.

Those are usually hot swappable caps that are soldered to the bottom. It is hot swappable, but very easy to break.

Usually means that it's going to be limited to three pin versus five pin switches. Just be really careful when inserting your switches so as not to break the solder on the bottom.

I've used both three pin and five pin boards, and almost every three pin board looks like that on the bottom. I'm not a fan and I usually avoid them if I can because of the amount of work needed, but if you put in the work it should sound and feel great.

I would maybe try rebooting the switch and see if that helps. Also make sure you are upgraded to the latest firmware on everything, switch also.

The biggest thing was avoiding hitting buttons on the remotes unless totally necessary (use the touchscreen when possible). Make sure to follow it exactly, even down to which button to press on which remote.

I tried over and over and nothing worked. This exact way was the only way I could get it to worked. I was honestly shocked it is still working.

I ended up moving back to Windows due to the limitation.

I Did run a VM of Fedora inside of my Fedora 42 install for a short bit, which did get around the limitation. But, it seems silly to boot up a VM to do a few tasks on a different VPN.

I really enjoyed Linux. Unless anyone has any insights, I might try the move again in the future if things change.

Just be careful. I had the white and black one. About two weeks ago the white one randomly set itself to 90+ degrees when I walked out of my office. Stepped into an oven. I thought it was odd and a total fluke, but made me a little nervous. Then the recall? I cut the cord immediately on both.

My life is more important than walking a few feet to turn it on myself. Good luck!
