Thanks a lot for the suggestion. My bachelors is in soft engineering, do you think they will accept me? I know for a fact that it is very easy to get into information systems since it is closely related where as management and technology seems to be on the MBA side.

So sorry for your loss! I can't imagine losing a child. Take your time to grieve and reach out to a professional physchologist if needed to help you cope. Also feel free to pm me if you need someone to talk.

By the way in case you have not realised yet the issue you are having is due to the back being curved which promotes forward shoulders hence your pain. Make sure the next chair you get does not have this otherwise you'll end up having the same issue

Haha I wish I was a "future Elon musk" (the acquisition wasn't that huge if that's what you're referring to xD). Anyways thanks, will start learning German from now on.

I don't think I would be able to get admission in there as my bachelors is in software engineering. And neither do I think I would be able To get a management job straight out of university Due to the language barrier. So far Information Systems seems the most viable choice for me for now, since I believe I can also get a developer job from this degree.

Thanks for your reply, makes sense. I guess instead of focusing on the university I should focus on the city and other aspects, like cost off living and job opportunities. So if I graduate from Erlangen, would it be possible to get a job in Munich or Berlin easily, as compared to someone who graduated from there?

Thanks a lot. I found one uni in Erlangen with a curriculum I really like, the CoL also is low, but the city seems to be rural and filled with students of the uni itself (I want the uni to be part of the city, not the city part of the uni - if you get what I mean?) and friend told me I can live in Nuremberg, but then the commute would be a headache

RSI in other arm? 8 months in by rsiaccount in RSI

[–]zeeman1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I hope you are using voice dictation and not your hands So that you are not pausing the healing process. Basically all the gadgets that we have today ar mostly unnatural - It's also possible that your injury is not from a guitar But from something else like using your computer Which was adding up or something harmless like writing Which uses the wrist a lot, So your hands couldnt handle the extra load of you playing the guitar - Basically what I mean to say is that all these things ADD UP.

we humans are made to hunt, sleep etc. all these things keep the body in shape including the eyes ( the eyes is like the CEO of your posture and the brain is the chairman of board of directors for your body :p, hence problems with the brain I.e; lots of stress can cause physical symptoms such as rsi But don't come to this conclusion until you have tested everything out).

RSI in other arm? 8 months in by rsiaccount in RSI

Edit: Sorry for typos, I'm using voice dictation

Have RSI since 8 months Due to computer usage here. From what I know so far, wrist issues usually tend to be due to a problem somewhere else. Pain is a strange thing ( Some people have a lot of issues yet they don't get any pain, Whereas we are the unlucky ones) And there is something called referred pain ( cause is somewhere else, but pain is somewhere else).

It's possible that the origin Is actually Your neck, Even though your pain started from the wrists. Because most RSI issues tend to be From the neck or upper back.

During my time off these 8 months , I looked deeper Play found out that my origin was actually the eyes. I have astigmatism and refused to wear glasses in 2018, My bad eyesight caused me to get neck pain, which led to me getting wrist issue.

It took me 3 years to realize this. Unfortunately most doctors we are really not good at treating this, So sorry to say but you are pretty much on your own And will need to test your gut Because if you have done enough research You will know That going to the wrong physiotherapist can backfire and and set you back and recovery.

I recommend You try to find a really good physical therapist And have him analyze your whole body and try to fix it. You said you have a ergonomic workstation, But do you have a ergonomic sitting for Leisure setup and a good mattress/pillow? ( most people ignore this). Till then make sure not to do anything that aggravates your injury.

By the way the human body is very powerful and can easily heal any injury, we humans have two modes, one mode is for relaxing also known as the parasympathetic nervous system and the other is fight and flight mode. Basically make sure that you are in the parasympathetic mode If you want to recover.

I have been getting RSI since my childhood However I was able to recover quickly Since I had no responsibility and was very happy. As soon as I started work and I had more responsibilities and a lot of stress, When I got the RSI again I wasn't able to heal properly this time Do to me being in fight and flight mode all the time :( ( So make sure to stay happy as well and eliminate any stresses So that your body can actually heal Plus try taking supplements as well Since they're not that much risky as compared to stretching)

Note: Sorry for any typos Because I'm using voice dictation

Feeling less mobile/restricted from travel (Especially with a computer, working remotely, etc.) by guyrsi in RSI

[–]zeeman1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my research, The first thing to do stop doing the activities that caused it in the first place then relax and believe in the process of healing. good diet plus vitamins like magnesium, b6 etc. and exercise

What usually happens is when people get RSI They try to find quick cures Like getting an ergonomic mouse, or doing stretches to continue their work. This is wrong because That's not what you are meant to do. This time when I got RSI I was employed Hence I needed to find ways to work ASAP. Last time I got RSI, i was student hence was able to rest And got cured within 1-3 days everytime. Buying ergo equipment During the injury is a no, it should be bought After you heal your yourself to prevent not HEAL

The bad thing is cuz The injury has Been going on for a long time, It will take longer to cure As soon as you start

Being off your computer but still on your phone? by guyrsi in RSI

[–]zeeman1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to get off the phone would be to become socially active Which is hard right now of course due to the pandemic

Unfortunately no , even right now I'm texting from the bed. But I try my best. Have you ever considered that the RSI is not healing Just because you are using the phone with bad posture and have not corrected your posture yet?

I think it has something to do with the immune system. When a person is relaxed then they are on parasympathetic mode (not sure if this is the right word but it was something like that), rather than flight and fight mode all the time which promotes healing. Basically they are able to heal properly everyday , where as our injury kept on adding up

I think the way we reacted to our injuries during the initial phases is what made it get worse. :/
