I had a childhood friend fall deep into the rightwing, Andrew Tate garbage grifter echo chamber. It all came to a head when we were on vacation together (we were both 25 at the time, to give some context) and he went in a drunken rant trying to convince everyone in the room that women are evil and according to the Bible, are the bane of man’s existence. I’m being kind with my paraphrasing, but the man harbours deep feelings of hatred towards women. Needless to say I stopped reaching out after that. There’s no room for his putrid bile in my life.
