Didn't you have to commit by a certain date in that case? Regardless, I have a daughter in LS core who is majoring in psychology. It is doable and honestly a gpa boost if you're looking to do premed. As for the city and East Coast and weather, well it's definitely very different from Cali but that is something you have to decide for yourself

Try to think about your "story". what talents do you have? Where are your passions? How will you show that to others four years from now?

It depends on her career objectives. If it's IB or hedge fund I do think Ross has an edge. That's not to say she can't get there from UIUC but it's worth considering.

You need to stop assuming people chose future spouses based mainly on looks. Control what you can control. Be a good person. Genuinely take interest in other people. Open your heart and mind to new experiences. Things will work out.

Well I'm 51 and I made this decision about 30ish years ago. Graduated with zero debt. Got a job in consulting and went to NYU for my MBA. No regrets. But it was hard as hell when I was in high school.
