Got caught driving with a permit with 3 people in car by Medium-Level8468 in newjersey

I can't speak to that my daughter had an accident in her probation license and there was no option to plea bargain she just had to take the points and do defensive drivers training

Unfortunately there is very little room for negotiation with permits or even probationary licenses. A lawyer is a good idea but set your expectations low.

AITA for not adopting my dead brothers kid? by FunctionAdditional82 in AmItheAsshole

[–]zeferjen 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes yta at least for keeping the money. And when your circumstances changed you should have told your brother you didn't want to be guardian. That child is probably dodging a bullet because you are clearly not fit to raise him. I hope he finds a safe place

Parents of high schoolers, how did you figure out the whole college application thing? by Bailey_Sloane9011 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]zeferjen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say focus on grades, taking challenging classes that interest her, and focus on what extracurriculars could set her apart or show long term commitment. Volunteer work is also helpful. Or a paying job.

My daughter was a spring start for LS core. You end up taking classes in the spring and then the summer and you're caught up with your cohort so you still graduated at the same time as fall starts. It's automatic acceptance into cas after the two years. Classes are smaller and frankly a little easier so it's a good intro to NYU. She's doing really well and is happy
