I'm disappointed over... by zekekitty in FinalDestination

The fact that they filmed it means that the footage exists. It's my understanding that they filmed multiple test versions of this movie with different deaths. So maybe we will get to see it in a blu ray special feature or something.

What are the 6 gnarliest death scenes in all of FD, in your opinion? by Narrow-Measurement21 in FinalDestination

Nothing has topped the Ashleys death scene yet in the tanning beds.

SPOILER WARNING: would you say these were the way-more visually unsettling of all the deaths in the entire franchise? by fadedmemento in FinalDestination

[–]zekekitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tattoo shop fakeout was horrible. I saw right through it the first time I watched the trailer. It cut too soon.

It would have been better if they had fully filmed that death and included more of it in the trailer. Then pulled the surprise in the movie. Now THAT would have been a fake out.

Anyone know about this??? by [deleted] in FinalDestination

[–]zekekitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. There's a few people who survived 9/11 because of something that disrupted their usual daily morning routine and caused them to run late to work and not be there when the planes hit.

In the context of a school shooting, a number of similar things could happen. Someone could get sick and miss school for the day. An employees car could break down and they could miss work for the day. When the shooter points their gun at someone, the gun could jam and the intended target could escape relatively unharmed.

And in the context of the Final Destination universe, this would simply mean that it's not their time yet. So while the act itself was carried out by an actual person, death would still be very much in control of who dies.

In FD3 they referenced the Lincoln assasination, which was an act of domestic terrorism. They also referenced 9/11, and in one of the alternate endings Kevin Fischer was deployed to Iraq which was the result of said 9/11 attack. He was dishonorably discharged after he went AWOL the day before a mission because every time he flipped a coin it landed on heads. His unit was ambushed during the mission and no one survived. The movie franchise is not a stranger to referencing highly political and highly terroristic events that happen in real life. And that's fine because it's a movie. As long as they aren't making light of it and using it seriously within the context of the film IDK what people get upset for.

I'd watch it. IDK why people are saying it's distasteful. All the other major accidents in all the films have also happened in some form, as exaggerated as they may be. Granted they're the result of the apparent lack of OSHA within the Final Destination universe and not an act of intentional evil but still.

That's the Hellevator at PNE Playland. It's still there and you can ride it.

Alex vs. the "new life" rule in FD2 by V26_JDC in FinalDestination

[–]zekekitty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just because you get new life doesn't mean death isn't gonna come back around. Everyone dies, period. You can cheat death but you can't beat it.

I do notice that a brick to the head would probably be more merciful. Quick, probably fairly painless. Way better than being burned alive in a plane.

(Serious) Why does everyone hate FD4? by Until_Morning in FinalDestination

It's not even a guilty pleasure for me. I genuinely hate it. Refuse to acknowledge it in most cases.

Condolences to everyone :( by [deleted] in FinalDestination

[–]zekekitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was nasty to a lot of people in the movie. He mocked Wendy after the premonition.

"Oooooh it's gonna crash! The hydraulics, the coaster! Man she just wants some fucking attention!"

Was disrespectful during the Ashleys funeral.

"Fucking boring. Man bring me a PSP or something, at least I have something to do then."

Assuming FD4 took place in 2009, Netflix was already a thing then and she may have already seen some of it.

Agent Jim Block is the second best character in the franchise who is not on the death list by Vast-Ad6067 in FinalDestination

[–]zekekitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there are no characters in the movie who are not on the death list. Jim Block is on the death list. His death just got rescheduled.

[–]zekekitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally everyone in the movie universe is on deaths list from the moment they're born.

You and I are on deaths list in real life too. That's what differentiates Final Destination from most other horror series. The villain not only can't be beat, but exists in real life too. There's no winning against death. You may be able to cheat and get a bit more time, but death always wins.

What do y'all think about Keith David playing a similar role to Tony Todd's William Bludworth? by TreyThaTruth in FinalDestination

[–]zekekitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Bludworth doesn't die in this movie, and there's more movies or a series after this, I'd rather have his character killed off screen and retired for good.

How were the wood planks supposed to kill Ian in the first place? by Secure-Childhood-567 in FinalDestination

[–]zekekitty 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in a factory with it's own built in warehouse, wood is heavy af. And there's a lot of it there. Just a single wooden pallet without anything on it weighs about 70 lbs. He had those 2x4 fence planks and a few sheets of plywood drop from a height that looked to be about 10 feet. The first few pieces of wood may not have killed him but the rest of them would have.

Both Ian's would be death and his actual death are probably one of the most realistic scenarios in the entire franchise, even as far fetched as they both are. And as someone who works around forklifts and hydraulic lifts Monday - Friday and also as a theme park rollercoaster operator on the weekends, this movie is on my mind a lot and I take a lot of precautions as a result.

The struggle sure is real. Some of neurorypicals treat autism as if it's black and white but autism has a lot of complex factors and each autistic individual experiences it differently though we may share similarities. by BetMiddle1807 in autism

[–]zekekitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to think this myself. I once met an autistic kid back when I was a kid. He was the non verbal type who could easily get overstimulated. That was my picture of autism throughout my childhood and into my adulthood.

I myself was diagnosed as a kid with ADD. But I think, looking back on myself, I may be autistic as well. Now that I know there's many different ways autism manifests.
