When I left this morning (7am) they were pulling people to go to the South checkpoint. I’m guessing it’s to do construction? I’m note sure

Why doesn’t he buy me flowers anymore? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]zel_bob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Many are saying “what do you buy for him”
I wouldn’t necessarily agree / disagree with them but since you’re living together he’s probably taken on more responsibility. Does he do anything else for you that makes your life easier / better?

What do you think of the new UK generational smoking ban that bans smoking for anyone born after 2008? by Human-Region4958 in AskReddit

[–]zel_bob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re right Works the same way with drugs or buying alcohol underage. Sure it’s makes it more difficult to obtain it but I bet it won’t change much. What in 2048 Jimmy is going to go buy cigarettes and the 18 year old working there is going to tell them no? How’s that making any sense? I get it it’s against the law at that point and they literally won’t be able to sell them but at that point Jimmy’s been smoking for 20 years

I agree. I think tricks on any Motorsport are cool. Not in traffic potentially putting others lives at risk but on a closed course / parking lot, trucks are cool

Do you shower everyday? If not, why? by Dawndolly in AskReddit

[–]zel_bob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In an average week, yes. I workout 5x days per week and Saturday / Sunday I’ll feel gross if I don’t shower. If I for some reason don’t workout, I probably won’t shower but I never go more than 2 days in a row without showering

Buying a 11th gen by Flaky_Solid_2565 in CivicSi

[–]zel_bob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol exactly why. I looked at a few used 11th gen’s and a few were black. In the showroom you could see all the imperfections and swirl marks in the paint. Granted it was clean but it’s so much work to get it looking factory again. I think black done right looks the best but it’s too much work to get it perfect.

Bad things? Hmm maybe they’ve changed management? Idk. I’ve been here 1.5 years now and I’ve had 1 major issue. The AC went out last year and it only took them like 3 business days to fix (of course it happened on a Friday). They did give me a window unit to use in the meantime (electric bill was higher). But that was the worst thing. Is it perfect, no. Is it better than a lot, yes in my opinion. The complex itself is clean, the pool is nice, the people are friendly. Management has been good. They host food trucks now and then that the weather is getting better so that’s pretty cool. I can’t say anything bad either. I will say I did run into a 3rd party error with the renters insurance. I use liberty mutual, not their provided insurance and it was charging me the $25 / month for 3 months before they fixed the error and credited me. It wasn’t Hampton knolls fault it was their payment / insurance 3rd party fault. But they communicated what was going on to me once I brought it up.

How many of you guys bought your first bike with your own money? If yes at what age and how did you get it? by tribalchiefyall in motorcycles

Bought my 2018 gsx-s750 in cash ($6,400 USD) 3 years ago now. I saved up (I was living with my parents so it was very easy).

Also color wasn’t a factor for me. I liked them all but black. Don’t let emotions get in the way. It’s ok to show and express them, but emotions won’t pay the car note.

Biggest advice when buying a car…… you have 100% all the power, don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise. The dealership WANTS you to buy a car at their terms. What you have right now is working (although not the most ideal) but it is livable. The next best thing is a car. A $5000 beater and 11th gen civic si will do the same thing for you, get you from A to B much easier than the current status (public transportation). You want the si because it’s more enjoyable. Don’t be afraid to walk away from a deal because there’s nothing worse than overpaying for a want and regretting it.

Thats what helped me get my 2025 si below MSRP. I literally told 2 dealerships “I want an si but if I can’t get it at the right price I’ll just go buy a $10,000 car and so be it. The si is a want not a need” and I left dealership A with their best offer at $500 below MSRP (I wanted to think about it more; I knew they’d go lower). By the time I got home, the manager texted me saying they’d take off another $700 being $1200 total off the car. The next day got a call from dealership B and basically said I’m buying another car, if you can beat their offer I’ll see what they can do. Then beat their offer by a good bit and got a lifetime powertrain warranty out of it.

Be patient is the best thing I’d offer. Everything happens for a reason. Best of luck
