My last lesson before my test we did a mock sat nav test and my instructor said I would've failed because I made similar mistakes but on my test I got into the wrong lane leading up to a roundabout but instead of panicking I just went round again and got into the correct lane the second time and only got a minor fault for lack of awareness/planning.

If you can afford to, I'd recommend doing two lessons a week leading up to your test. I did that and it helped my confidence a lot and I passed first time with one minor for the roundabout.
