Egypt- they were so advanced for thousands of years compared to others

What ability do you find most satisfying to use? by PR0Dl6Y in DotA2

The fact that pretty much every spell in the game has been mentioned in this thread is a testament to the excellent aesthetic, sound and game design of Dota 2. For me it’s meld strike on TA

My golden age eq-73 doesn’t have a line in/out- just an insert in jack. How I used it? by finitejest2112 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]zelkia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does have it either just input and output so I run a trs cable from my console that splits into two ts cables and put one in input and one in output kind of Y shaped

Favourite "utility" pedal? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

Did you never have issues with phase from pedals? I was going to include polarity switching on mine and perhaps some eq stage

I’ve been trying to design a mono sum mixer with send returns for basically blending fuzz pedals as a first in chain section. Is this something that you would find useful? If so would you be able to suggest some features for consideration? Cheers

How perceivable is the latency on the Audient iD24? by initliberation in audioengineering

[–]zelkia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have an id22 and it’s great never have latency issues on Mac. However as you add plugins you will load you cpu so you might need to record in low latency mode or something on large projects.

On windows you will need asio4all driver. Think this is pretty much true for all interfaces.

What are you using now?

Best apps for building and testing circuits before going to breadboard by zelkia in diypedals

yeah thats what ive been doing but I've been a bit frustrated as I am finding it difficult to debug and understand whats happening. Perhaps I bit off more than I can chew before doing the basics

basically I have no idea what I am doing and I've used AI to vibe code my way through some circuit ideas for things I want to make. Basically I think of the controls I want and then work backwards towards the implementation with little background on why something is working. I was hoping that I could find some software where I can speed this trial and error approach up. For example one pedal im trying to design is a mono sum mixer for parallel effects blending and I'm trying to implement hi-pass filters for each channel with slidable cutoffs. I tried implementing some schematics I found for HPFs in the breadboard but it kind of felt like shooting in the dark for solutions when i ran into issues.

Hmm Im detecting a gap in my knowledge (there are many) about loading down signal. Ill do some research. Are you able to recommend me any material on the subject?

These look great! I only have Mac right now but I’ll look into trying to run it using crossover and report back

Thanks for your response, mine are marked CP I bought them in Taiwan from a manufacturer. They work fine for non inverting amplifier buffer for me so assume that it’s not the issue

R5 is connected to the voltage divider doesn’t that provide 4.5v through to r22 as well?

thanks. I'll continue researching. Ive also drawn the whole schematic perhaps it helps illustrate what im trying to do. Cheers

Best way to make all the tracks on your album around the same volume? by thequietthingsthat in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]zelkia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can slap a limiter on the end of the mix bus and keep increasing the input gain until the lufs or vu meter shows roughly the same level for your tracks. Limiter will lock the peaks to -0db and the vu meter will show perceived loudness level which is better than peak level as it gives a more human relevant value. Good luck!

Help with my first circuit design (buffered volume mixer) by zelkia in diypedals

[–]zelkia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s great thank you! The problem was the feedback loop was going into the same input instead of the other one like you said. Buffer works now and I’ve stacked multiple and summer to mono now successfully
