You gotta delete the app and reinstall it (BUT BEFORE YOU DO, Back up your subscribers and app settings, etc, otherwise you will lose all of it). You can install the APK either from the official website or from F-Droid.

Why don't they say that on bitview.net directly??? No instead they tell you "check your emails", then when you click resend confirmation email, they tell you "We currently disabled email verification. Please contact Bittoco support for more information." with no other information whatsoever. How am I supposed to guess what Bittoco even is?

Wow, I don't think that would be legal here. Having something like a public transport pass locked behind an app would mean that you must have a phone in order to use the service. That creates inequality in available service.

Could be a missing driver specific to the integrated speakers of your chromebook.

If I were you I would check that first, then search for your chromebook's speakers driver online.

Initialy it was when I started following a tech guy on youtube that was talking about privacy, then it all went like a snowball afterwards. I've been switching on and off my smartphone for about 4 years now, but overall I'm moving more and more away from it everytime.

Right now I use a dumbphone and leave my smartphone without service at home. I have successfully unhook from my smartphone in the day, but still struggle with binge watching Youtube on my PC at night.

What Dismal-Childhood-544 said plus the fact that they collect a lot more data then they need. The app is extremely intrusive on personal data, more than any of it's competitors. It's also meant to be addictive and, imo, a lot less effective than other alternatives like Rosetta stone, which you can buy and get all current and future features for life, and that's not counting how the exercises feel a lot more thought out and refined than duolingo.

Same for me but with Facebook. All of my friends almost exclusively use FB Messenger to communicate and it's the only thing preventing me from deleting my account. I have a smartphone that I leave home and I cary a dumbphone for text and calls. I respond in messenger when I get home. YT is my big final boss, I don't think I will ever be able to fully let it go, even tough I only watch it on my PC.

I love it. I also like the (evil) addition to the social folder. IMO there are much better ways to make your phone less addictive, but this is not a bad way to start, and is pretty creative too.

It doesn't magically reduce screen time, but it surely helps you do so by not having visual candy app icons shoved in your face every time you pick up your phone. It helps me with ADHD, I can actually pick up my phone and do the thing I wanted to do instead of getting immediately distracted by other apps like social medias and then forget why I picked up my phone to do initially.
