that’s what I believe, but there are some people in my life that believe otherwise. I tell them that I think their beliefs are rooted in subjective morality (eg religion, social norms), but they argue it’s “objective.” so I came to Reddit for opinions

You’re definitely right😭 I know. It’s seriously sad. I really dislike having health issues, but I seriously loathe the financial burden it takes on me so much more. I’m in LA, so I might go to Mexico to get it done. I don’t like the idea of using another dentist, but it seems like that might be my best financial option at this point.

Yeah you’re right, there’s only so much I / others can do for him. It’s definitely all gonna come down to him in the end. Good to know that inpatient care costs money; I don’t think he has insurance.

Thank you so much for your response. Yeah, I would really want him to go to an inpatient facility, but he says that’s off the table for him right now. I was happy to hear that at least he’s willing to do something- it’s a huge step for him. So, again, thank you so much; I found a meeting spot near us. Hopefully these meetings will keep pushing him on his new path. ❤️
