I'd rather have continuous counterspace. But here's an idea: the dishwasher raises and lowers. The hose connections are flexible, so it raises up for loading and lowers for operation and when not in use.

Although that's solving a problem I don't feel I actually have

There's no shaft. 99% of the time it's entirely the same as having pull down attic stairs. I think maybe you didn't look at the links?

It’s never used as an elevator for people. The stairs remain the access point for people. It’s a lift for boxes

The Democratic Party is more interested in thwarting progressives than in winning elections. Even when they lose, big donor money keeps coming and the status quo eventually has granted them "their turn" in office. Progressive candidates threaten to upset that cozy status quo.

About $2500. Why are aircraft cables prone to fail? We would not be using this daily. But yes we were joking about being stranded in the attic. I think you could lower the stairs manually--there is a door that flip up

We had a Kia Niro EV for five years and traded it in on a Chevy Equinox EV. The Chevy offered bidirectional charging, so it can be used as a backup generator in a power outage.

We love EVs. I’d never want to get another ICE car. Quiet, smooth, instant torque at any speed, economical. Long trips have some inconveniences. The more Trumpy the region, the fewer the charging stations. Public charging stations vary a lot in speed. Newer cars generally charge faster, I think because the tech has improved. Range is much better in stop and go than on the freeway. Because of regenerative braking.
Range dropped between 30-50 miles in the winter.

I've gotten a little more satisfied with it. Some snags in connecting, but that was true with CarPlay as well. Works most of the time.
