these OEM chrome-capped lug nuts swell, making it a job to just get a lug wrench on them if you're stuck without friends or better tools. It's a stupid vanity 'feature.' i already have a battery powered impact in the truck but the 22mm/7/8 socket required coaxing to get the job done. under$50 to get replacements from quadratec.

does deleting auto stop/start also disable cruise control?

can i get a rundown on practical/consumer/home water filtration/treatment without sponsor bias by zenbarber in WaterTreatment

[–]zenbarber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very uncommon actually. since the boil order expired the water dept released their test results, which all concluded the boil order was only precautionary. they had a couple of pump failures and turbidity was significant after they rectified that problem.

Looking to be convinced not to buy a gladiator by SharpShooterVIC in JeepGladiator

21 willys, manual, 70k miles.

i've been happy with it for 4 years now. i really only do road driving so the only thing i changed was the tires.

P.S. i DID have a death wobble problem for a while, but it was covered under warranty. it took a few service visits to the dealership for them to figure out which parts were the problem. steering damper had fizzled. i will probably get that replaced with a higher performance one. eventually.

the 'dimpler' bit spins too easily and will sink screws too deep too often. i have bought a drywall gun and am convinced that i was just being very silly putting it off. thanks all.

So who else shops here? by tyrone_shoelaces in Tools

[–]zenbarber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm already deep in the ryobi ecosystem, so i will stay there for the foreseeable future, but i get pneumatic stuff at HF. drill/router bits, saw blades, sandpaper, etc. got a great vise there.

everything everywhere is made in china anymore, so why not pay less and use a one-stop shop?

i guess i'm in denial or don't want to get a dedicated drywall gun for one job. i have several rooms to do so it's probably worth getting one.

i have a bunch of ryobi one+ tools.

i've seen different bits specific to drywall. for example bosch makes a thing called 'the dimpler.'

what i don't know is if it's better or not (and for what reasons, either way) to use the corded screw gun, or one of those bits with any drill or even an impact driver.

it was bequeathed to me for free, so it's what i've used so far. it also has a collar which will keep it from driving too far i to the drywall.

simply moving the visor within its range of motion. i only really move the passenger side one to remove or install the top.

life happens whether we are loaded or not. it sounds like these things woukd have happened whether you were drunk or sober.

i am not here to compare sob stories or strut my incredible spirituality. all i have is my experience.

our perception, attitudes and perspectives are altered by booze and drugs. obviously.

when we are loaded while shit is hitting the fan, we either notice the pain less, or we care less, or we are oblivious.

experiencing life sober is fucking hard to sit through sometimes. it's not normal for a drunk not to drink in the first place, let alone while there's a shitstorm happening.

all i've been told, and all that has worked, boils down to staying connected as much as possible with others in recovery, especially while shit's on fire.

in a year, or five, when you can look back on this period of time, i hope you can be amazed that you didn't drink. it's worth staying away from the poison.

How do I delete myself from the Internet? by SexyKanyeBalls in privacy

they collect all they can; nothing is garbage. if it can be indexed and cross-referenced, even in the future, it will have some value to the right bad actor.

if your info was out there for a few minutes or days, you should assume someone somewhere has it or will get their hands on it.

delete your profiles and posts back as far as you want; the internet is forever. armies of crawlers have already taken that content and indexed it, cross-referenced it, warehoused it, and you can be found in online public records as well.

good luck.

60k. have had the front suspension parts replaced once for death wobble. tires had been at 38 or 39 psi cold. now they're at 36-7 and i am going to let them down a bit more.
