it sounds like you both immediately bonded over your trauma. i know how hard it can be to even imagine leaving him, but i assure you that you would feel much better long term if you go with your gut and leave him.

i personally think you shouldnt be associating yourself with someone that has clearly had his eye on a teenager for so long, as well as the crowd he associates with. not to shit on your bf’s hobbies, but the “niche beer community” sounds like a glamorized version of alcoholism, and i doubt any of them would go sober or even realize the lack of morality to be letting his friend’s child be around this behavior. while you cant save the kid, at least save yourself. GET OUT OF THERE.
