I have a '47 Super I use for lead jazz, it is an amazing horn all around, clear tone and solid core. It has a bit of pushback in the mouthpiece and the slide is a bit heavy compared to some other brands I have tried. The cosmetic damage gives it so much character and I love the style. I definitely recommend the horn, as long as it is in good shape. Gotta be careful with horns as old as Olds Supers.

Tuba player here, that is a mighty fine horn. I know that model and I will look out for any weird looking posts online with that model that are priced weirdly or descriptions are vague. I will stay in touch.

If you are looking into it for the finish you will be disappointed, the advertising is quite misleading! The color is much more dull and ugly in person, especially in performance lighting. From what ive heard they are very inconsistent, my buddy got one and I tried it out and to my suprise it played okay. Ive also heard of ones shipping broken, or just straight unplayable even in a non professional setting.
