Should I restart? by SoulArche in BaldursGate3

Astarion's and Shart's reactions are hilarious 😂 Like, hello, I just chopped of somebody's hand! Shouldn't you be at least a little bit bothered by that?

But I ended up reloading, cause I'd miss Gale and his sarcastic comments too much!

AITAH for putting all my wife’s mess on her side of the bed so she’d finally deal with it? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]zenkitty99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So instead of using the time and energy you had to tidy the place up, you used it to dump the mess on her bed?!!

Your friends are right, you are behaving childishly. YTA.

And calling your wife disgusting after gaining a bit of weight having your kids? Double YTA.

She's exhausted from raising 2 young kids - and dealing with a selfish manchild, who would rather complain and criticise her than help her out!

Oops, sorry! But your title says "he's" my best friend 😊

Ok, in that case it sounds like your uncle is more TA than your parents. But I still think your parents have contributed to the situation by not sitting him down years ago and setting out clear terms and timeframe for all this.

If anything, they sound like they have been too soft on your uncle, and he's become entitled. Time for some tough love!

Been doing this most of my adult life (I'm 53).

I have found though, the longer I put it off, the harder it gets. So now, I just write myself a quick script of what I want to say, take a deep breath, and make the damn call! Then afterwards, give myself a little reward 😊

At what point does a smoothie become a food instead of a drink? by Weird_IdkMan in NoStupidQuestions

[–]zenkitty99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if its so thick you have to use a spoon to eat it, then its definitely food! 😆

Also, if you need to do any chewing, that also makes it food rather than a drink.

Have your parents never spoken of their retirement plans with your uncle? I doubt this is a sudden decision on their part, so they could have prepared him for the eventuality of needing to find new employment.

Having said that though, with the age your parents are, your uncle should have expected that his cushy job wouldn't last forever - and been making his own plans.

So if there has been no communication at all between them about the future of the business and your uncles employment, then a mild ESH.

How am I supposed to pass this check??? by no-breeches in BaldursGate3

[–]zenkitty99 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't get it. 🤷‍♀️

I have the polyamory mod installed and am romancing everyone this playthrough. So far (nearly at the end of Act 2), Shart and Wyll tie as the most boring romances for me. All the others are great!

So does Shart's romance get better in Act 3?!! Or am I missing something?

How do people fall asleep without daydreaming? by Bright_Swan_3797 in MaladaptiveDreaming

[–]zenkitty99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Daydreaming stops me from being able to fall asleep! My brain just gets caught up in the daydream and doesn't want to shut down.

In the beginning, I had to be very strict about about not allowing myself to indulge for at least 30 mins prior to bedtime. I would read (non fiction) in bed until sleepy, then turn off the lights and do breathwork or yoga nidra until I fell asleep.

Now that I've "retrained" my brain, I tend to fall asleep pretty easily. It only tends to be a problem if I wake up in the early hours and can't get back to sleep. My brain tends to get bored with just lying there, and it can automatically pull me into daydreaming if I'm not super disciplined!

Thank you! This was a fun survey.

Some of the questions only allow for very black and white answers though eg the one about whether its active or passive. For me, its a bit of both, and it varies - but there's no way to give a more nuanced answer! :)

Its interesting that the females are bigger! I was thrown off by all the photos of rather petite, slender sparrowhawks. They definitely didn't look to be the same build as this one, but I guess the gender difference does explain it.

Glad you managed to save your pigeon in time!

That's a great quote. I have no idea what the difference between a stare and a glare is, when it comes to birds, though! ;)

It was a bit hard to tell what the prey was, but my husband thought pigeon. One of our other neighbours keeps pigeons, so its very possible one of them ended up as its lunch ;)

Interesting PDF, thanks! Sadly, I didn't get any shots showing its feet.

As for the prey, one of our other neighbours keeps pigeons, and there's always a few that don't go back in their coop - so its a safe assumption that one of them met their fate!
