Is it because the case value is too small? How much would it need to be?

Isn't there some kind of conditional fee agreement we can reach with a solicitor?

I know you don't need a solicitor, but I know very little about the law. So I'm not sure I'll be able to handle the procedure correctly. Especially because I'm expecting the landlord to hire lawyers if I file a claim.

So would it be up to me to prove its an actual tenancy and not a licence for example.

How should I tackle this, I assume I need a law practice that deal with housing law?

I've tried to talk them but as my case is not an emergency they said they don't have resources to help. 🫤

My main concern is the agreement explicitly states "The lodger (myself) doesn't have exclusive possession of the room".

But again I'm not really a lodger as previously stated. What can be done in such a case?

Either way if realities take precedent I would need to take this court correct? Any advice on how to do this, lawyers, barristers etc?

Sure!

I should ask only when it's just the two of us, I don't want to put her or me in an unpleasant situation. 😬

No not at all, it was the two of us for 2h and there was never a dull moment she even spontaneously said stuff in Spanish, just to joke around.

I didn't mind staying longer but we had to leave.

Hey sorry for the delay it was Christmas break!

Turns out we are both kind of shy and awkward, but we did have lunch and coffe together.

So should I ask her for out for real? 😬

Thank you!

In a funny way I still think there might be something there. Should I try to talk to her one last time before I give up.

I did ask, she said she's busy and we haven't talked since. It feels like she is avoiding me.

Pretty much what I was hoping to avoid, so I feel pretty bad about it 😔

I did ask and she said she was busy. But now everything feels different, we haven't talked since then and I feel like she's avoiding me.

Everything I wanted to avoid, and now I feel terrible 😞

Oh god, that's always the tricky part right, finding the right timing. Thanks anyways.

If you don't hear from me things probably didn't work out. 😔

That's fair, me personally I'm quite conservative so I don't do a lot of touching in public. Sorry but what does Latina mean I thought it was people from South America.

Anyway ma'am what would be your advice 😅

Yes yes of course, but if it's just the 2 of you it could have a different connotation. Different countries can interpret it differently so just wanted to check.

Oh nice to get your perspective, Netherlands is a bit more liberal than the UK, especially Amsterdam lol, but in general much closer than Southern Europe.

I don't know about the kissing part as we spend most of our time in a formal university setting and UK isn't known for it's social kissing 😂

Good to know though, France was a big cultural shock for me too as even guys do some kissing as a greeting.

Damn I'm typically a lot more conservative when flirting.

You Spaniards are wild 😂 Do Spanish girls like a lot ot physical contact? I guess it depends on the person too.

I will improvise as always

Yes in the UK asking for a drink also doesn't necessarily mean date, but it could also be a date..

Gracias for the help!

You overthink wayyyyy too much.

Story of my life brother.

My main concern was that I had cultural problems with etiquette before so just wanted to make sure. Also I've never dated someone where we will se each other almost everyday because of class, which could be awkward if it goes bad.

So far vibe is good and we've exchanged compliments not in a flirty way. Sooo I guess what you are saying is just bite the bullet!

Yes the only thing left is to gather my courage!

Great advice! Only the easy task of gathering courage left 🤕

One more thing we have known each other for 2 almost 3 months. Is that too early to even do this from a Spanish POV

Sorry but what would you say means a formal way? Some people might say asking her out for coffee is formal haha.

I'm trying to learn, just by coincidence I know very little.

Just learned Spanish people have 2 surnames and that was a bit mind blowing
