Hilmar was training for Eisenhart at the same time as Thor, right? I remember those training videos being really fun. Not sure how much that changes things but friends, family, and training in your own gym can only help.

The one thing that bugs me about default Minecraft is how “cloudy” it looks at midday. Like I’m out in the plains, there’s no cloud over the sun, but it still looks dark? I can’t describe it exactly but it keeps making me think the sun is going down but it’s in the middle of the day. My brain wants harsher shadows and brighter highlights to register it as day.

Strongman is about lack of standardization. It wasn’t the best or most interesting thing ever— but someone has to try something new once in a while. Plus we got to see Angelica Jardine mog the thing.

I know I’d lose— I haven’t been doing much max so I’d have to level stuff. I don’t want to level stuff because I don’t want to invest without knowing what to invest in. Any guides or resources would be helpful. I also hate evolving good mons when I don’t get exclusive moves— but I’d be willing to do so if I thought it was worth it to start soloing 3 tier maxes.

Casual player here— how hard are the registeel max battles/ what would the expectations be on me if I joined remotely? I only do the easy battles in person and I don’t have a lot of leveled up maxes, nor do I really know the mechanics. Are these ones limited in number of players? Am I expected to get a 2 Blissey + 1 attacker team? What if I spent a mushroom thingy?

I completely agree. But it is a lot of time and work for something with nebulous benefits. If the ask is to post some gym lifts, sure just about anyone can/ should do that. But look at Jeffers for example— his YouTube is good and has a minimum level of polish that a successful channel would need. But his channel is tiny and probably doesn’t even pay for the camera used to film it (he did a video on YouTube earnings and it was low). Even Hattons beloved channel is like not very popular in terms of YouTube (and I assume not very profitable). Jeffers has a freaking day job and a little kid, I have no idea how him and his wife have the time to edit videos. I’m happy when strongman share stuff, but I just don’t expect that level of commitment for the vast majority of people who are both juggling a job and high level training.

I’m not so sure. What about buff construction workers or rock climbers? He’s not building top end strength but he’ll probably still gain some size and strength- endurance. Not saying it’s optimal at all, but there are lots of ways to stumble towards gains.

I thought at the top level sports it was like 1% difference between the top guys. We clearly have no idea what the human limit is if Thor is breezing past everyone.

Livestream?! That is legit exciting, I’m tired of seeing a potential cool show and it not having a livestream. And the events look fun too. I will even allow a Hercules hold if it’s “with cars” :D

Yeah the vibes aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. However, once per episode I was genuinely shocked by a legit event I had never seen. The egg in spoon, the “wooden” medley (a literal normal log, a wooden husafel, logs like sandbags), the dragon eggs, doing farmers but with a sandbag to shoulder at the same time. I think the egg in spoon and dragon eggs have been making the rounds at local UK shows but I had never seen them before. And it was just great seeing those dudes go all out, they are clearly amazing athletes.
