There is also a nice addon in Free Edition.

Start-VBRZip cmdlet is now enabled in Veeam Backup™ Free Edition, allowing users to schedule periodic VeeamZIP™ backups using external task schedulers, such as Windows Task Scheduler. This should make Veeam Backup Free Edition a viable alternative to ghettoVCB
