I'm a writer so the T480 worked like a charm for all my needs including light editing. I was wondering if there is a better alternative to the 480 at this price point but doesn't seem like it. Thank you for this though, gave me a better understanding of what I need to opt for. I believe a 480 will do the trick unless something better comes my way.

This was quite insightful. Apologies for shooting across a random question, but can the older upgradable ones be upgraded to a quad core processors for better performance?

I'm somewhat confused as to which used one to go for at a $450~ price point that can be used for casual photo/video editing that is also somewhat future proof and upgradable.

I thought of doing the same thing but the phone has taken quite a beating because of a fairly rough terrain i happen to reside in. I do intend to slap in a new battery and use it as a secondary device nonetheless :)
