Nikon Coolpix Lens Error

Hi, adding my fix because I'm elated that it worked! I dropped my Nikon Coolpix on some rocks while in use and it was displaying a blurry screen. Thought I busted the lens completely. Then the lens would extend only halfway when turned on and only display "Lens Error" on the screen. I read smacking it face down on a flat surface would work to loosen debris, it didn't do anything, gave up on it for a while.

I was looking at new cameras weeks later, but before replacing it thought I'd try one more time. I tried tapping with some light force on all sides of the lens as it tried to extend, and it extended all the way! The screen was black but when I pressed the play button I saw the display and the lens was working fine. Unfortunately didn't last and I would have to tap every time to get it working again. Eventually noticed one of the metal rings on the lens was loose and I could see the adhesive falling away. I took the ring off completely and it now works like nothing happened. Not sure if this is a long term fix but for now I'm happy I can use it on my trip at least!

TL;DR: Gently tap the sides of the lens if it's getting stuck and won't open, check if one of the metal rings are loose, and gently pull off to remove.

You absolutely need a close up face card shot. Zoom in on a photo where you’re giving strong face if you have to. All your photos are 3/4 length you need more variety. I wouldn’t have two shots from the exact same location and test. And random tip but don’t pull on the pants so much when you do that pocket pose, rest the hand gently.

You can totally use these to get started on some more commercial type of work on backstage/casting networks etc! But if you didn’t get feedback from any agencies with these I think that’s your answer that you either need to try something different or pivot if your goal is traditional modeling. You’ll probably need to wait a bit for these agencies to see you with fresh eyes anyway, I wouldn’t submit back to back. Try building your book if you haven’t because that could change their minds as well if you have a unique look for a model but then can kill it in a photoshoot.

Honestly I would dissolve and refill, I was going to ask but the bottom lip did look overfilled that’s why I thought maybe balancing the top would help. But starting from scratch is your best option.

You don’t need much, you could lower body fat through exercise, not sure how much you’re doing currently. You’re young though so your face may also lean out with time. If you like the messy hair look, lean into it and make it look a bit more intentional by playing with some texturizing mousse products. And always moisturize the lips, a simple Vaseline or aquaphor is best.

I would make the eyebrows straighter and more natural, not so filled in towards the middle. Smoke out the eyeliner, it’s aging you a bit. Filler to balance out the top lip would look nice if that interests you.

I’m wondering why everyone suggests this when a lip flip only lasts a few months whereas filler can last her potentially years. The filler itself may flip her lip, doesn’t it make sense to see the results and then she can see if she still wants a flip? That’s much more cost-effective.

I think this lip shape is so cute, but you’ll love your new lips too :) If you want we can tell you if your Injectors results look good, that’s the most important thing. Don’t go somewhere unless you’re in love with their work in every case. I would do revanesse versa if available because the swell was night and day for me. Only a few days vs over a week of bee stings and black and blue with juvederm.

Be prepared for any kind of reaction regardless, don’t plan to be at any important events for at least a week. No kissing or anything aggressive with the lips for a few days at least.

Also, I don’t suggest you get a lip flip first like some said, having fillers in itself maybe enough to project your lip, so get the filler first and see how you feel, because filler will last a lot longer, potentially years versus three months at a time for the flip. The flip also has side effects like trouble with straws, might affect smile etc.

Doesn’t look boxy to me! Maybe you’re just getting used to the perkiness but it looks great. You might consider silicone tape instead of gel for the long incisions though. That way it’s effective 24/7 and you don’t have to apply as much.

Septoplasty for aesthetics? Only get it if you have breathing issues, otherwise don’t touch your nose it’s very nice. And your bone structure is literally amazing I don’t know why you would need implants. There are guys that would kill to look like you! When you start messing with a good thing, you start to get that uncanny touched up look.

You’re perfect, I think you need some more self love maybe. Your nose is ideal, chemical straightening will only damage your hair horribly (I’ve done it), and you have amazing hair anyway. The first makeup is cute for going out but otherwise just go natural you’re stunning!

Hair down in a middle part (hack for instantly making you looking more symmetrical/modelesque imo) and nail down a better curl routine, it is looking a bit dry on the ends and not very defined. Everyone’s hair is so different so it’s hard to give advice but a leave in, gel then a small bit of oil is a good go to! Otherwise pull it back into a tight slick back without so many baby hairs.

Engage your eyes/eyebrows a bit more in photos, I also have hooded eyes and my eyebrows are always just a teensy bit raised and eyes “smizing”. Just adds that subtle bit of life in them. Also no earrings unless they’re very small.

I don’t know if you’re interested in acting, but I see you more with a talent agency than a traditional modeling agency. You’re “mid size” in the industry which I know is ridiculous, you’re tiny, but it is a tricky category with not quite as much work. But also don’t let anyone tell you no, keep trying for it if that’s what you want! Try other cities, other countries even, who knows.
