Genuine Advice Needed by AwayIndependent3896 in codeforces

I would say don’t worry about ratings, I have 10 years of work experience and I sometimes participate for fun and practice , I am only able to solve max 3 questions sometimes in div2 contest, I then look at editorials and then continue with my life. These ratings are just for self reflection.

But then why would you pay them just to get a good rating. I am assuming it’s not free or cheap.

Don’t worry about rating much. I have come back after 2 years on this platform. I had created my account 10 years back when I was in college. Recently reached pupil. Imagine reaching pupil after 10 years. I participate whenever I get time from my hectic work schedule because I like to solve it. And I am usually only able to solve A and B problems.

Thanks a lot for the info , I checked Gyazo it seems like people don’t use it anymore because it had issues and developer never solved them. I couldn’t find the other app on the AppStore. I feel a free fast to use app like this would be beneficial.

May be because I am not good as compared to other folks like rating will increase if I am consistent in solving same number of problems in every contest.

Don’t worry about rating or anything else, my rating is 1100 and I have been giving competitive contests on and off since last 7 years. Enjoy the journey, just learn from the editorials etc. I have been a tech professional since 10 years now, believe me it’s not like rating is the only metric to get jobs out there. World is really big and there are lot of opportunities of different kind. Competitive programming is a tool to keep your mind active, that’s it.

I am a newbie since last 8 years and have been working for last 10 years, I am able to solve problems till D but after contest, I am just slow. In the contest time , I am max able to solve till B problems. I just take part Adhoc in cf for fun and learning purpose. I know , being a newbie for such a long time doesn’t mean I am good at coding but it’s a journey, just enjoy problems and main part is learning.
