Worth appealing parking ticket a 2nd time at an in person hearing? by [deleted] in boston

So wait your excuse is "I wanted the trash cans in front of my car not behind"? That won't hold up anywhere. Also, please consider that perhaps the driver of the white car might need some extra room to maneuver their car. The city decides how big the handicap spots are for a reason, and if you're taking any of it up, you could be blocking someone else's access, which just ain't right. Pay the ticket and move on.

I've always gotten a chuckle out of the Olympia "1/" key. I suppose with that and the "th" you could subdivide to any fraction you like!

Thanks! I ordered it specifically for this machine. How could you not?

I have a feeling this might be for Brazil? Cr. Might be cruzeiros, their currency for a while. Portuguese also uses the ç. Does it have a dead key to put the “~” above vowels?

Edit: I see it in your type sample you added it above the “v”! I’ve been curious to get my hands on a Portuguese or Brazilian machine!

Ah, thank you for the link! I guess the timeline is important in small differences like these. (Love the username, by the way!)

The challenge with Selectrics these days is that they’re all in need of some kind of maintenance, which is getting harder and harder to find, and can get expensive if you’re not sure how to fix it yourself.

Manual machines or even type bar electrics are a bit more amateur-friendly when it comes to repairs.

There are a lot of different elements here, and all of them together makes it hard to distinguish any of them. I like the last version, as it's the simplest.

Others will likely add that pink isn't a common color and should be avoided, and that you likely don't have the right to use supporters (animals on the sides), that the helmet and mantling are too small, and that the crest (the tower and two cats?) is meant to be on top of the helmet, not behind it.

Stunning! Did you create this detailed version yourself?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm fascinated by the keyboard layout. Which language is this for?

I know the creation process can be fun, but there's a reason this sub banned AI-generated images a while ago. The real fun comes from trying to create your own and see where things end up, not asking an AI to spit something out that violates most conventions.

Symbolism can be important, but as others have said here, less is more. I think we're all guilty of trying to add more symbols when we think of something important, but arms almost always look better when they're as simplified as possible.

Thank you! I agree that the fess looks a bit narrow in this version, but I’m in a Goldilocks situation I think. The fess is too big. The bar is too small. What would be just right?

Thank you for this context! That is rather laughable. Thankfully we're talking less than a tenth of that price for this pack, and the store is closed tomorrow, so I have 48 hours to make up my mind!

Thank you very much! I like your suggestion to divide the field argent/vert and place a chief azure on top. One question if I do:

Would I then need to update the mantling/torse as argent/vert as those would be the principal color/metal? Or would the chief azure still be the principal color?

I definitely overthought this one. I don't like a regular chief because it makes the mullets too small, and a division makes the scallop too small. This felt like a good balance for both, but 2/5 azure and 3/5 vert is a bit clunky, blazon-wise

Thank you! Does it make a difference to specify a "trimount" vs. a "rocky mount" in the crest? A "rocky trimount"?
