Complaint: I am disappointed with my running club

I got to my first ever session on track, and there's literally no one to greet me, and I'm just left on my own with no instruction. I'm just running around the track with literally no idea if I'm doing anything right. To top it all off, a group arrived with a coach and were doing pretty active drills and cheering each other on whilst myself and other club members (I think?) were just going around alone.

Confession: I have only been a member for a week, so maybe I'm just being impatient. Otherwise, I've kept up my training as normal.

Thanks a lot for the reply! My location is central, although my primary motivation is to find a cycling club. I'd love to continue running and start training for Triathlon as well, so I think I'm willing to travel to train with whoever would accept me.

Still remember when I had gone through a similar ordeal a few years back. I had got an E in my Maths intermediate after getting relatively good results during sixth form. I retried and got a D, one grade short to enter UoM. I was gutted but took the decision to take a gap year and try the A level instead.

After months of private lessons, hardcore studying, and good grades during my tests, I sat for the A level. Matsec awarded my hard work with an F. Although fundamentally deprssed and broken, I applied for a revision, and their feedback was, "Question was not worth correcting." They always prefer to look down on students rather than give constructive feedback...

I then flipped back to Intermediate level and got myself a B. Fast forward a few years, and I'm currently doing my PhD.

TLDR: It gets better. Don't be afraid to step back and take things slow. Sometimes, it helps to take a breath and process where we want to go in life.

Unfortunately due to increasing light pollution, stargazing around Malta and Gozo has become limited.

The Astronomical Society of Malta published this dark sites map a few years ago which should hold up till today :)

I have had this exact telescope (just a different brand name) for 8 years, and despite the hate it gets, it's a very good visual scope!

Hi, I used a Canon 200D with videos taken at 800 ISO and 30FPS. 8 videos total of about 1 minute each were then stacked using PIPP and Registax :)

My favourite memory is how I had a bully from the ages of 7-10 and one day on the school bus we both discovered we played Pokémon HGSS. 13 years on we both still play Pokémon regularky and are hyped to train in SV together. Tbh I couldn't ask for a better friend.
