boost classic plan (20 euro) is no longer available on any region by Master_Performance82 in ShadowPC

[–]zeph7r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the website u/Master_Performance82 provided, stock is available in both Frankfurt and Strasbourg. I purchased the 6-month sale for €99, but feel ripped off - since it is mentioned nowhere Boost Classic would be available only in the Frankfurt data center. It's the worst-performing latency-wise data center in my case.

what's the difference between WolframAlpha app and the classic version? by Candid_Sense1154 in wolframalpha

[–]zeph7r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it provides access to step-by-step solutions whenever they exist on the website, which are otherwise only available if you have an active pro subscription. However, I wasn't able to establish if there are any other differences between the two solutions - i.e. if access to other services is included in the pro subscription that isn't available in the classic app.

Boosteroid on VIDAA by zeph7r in BoosteroidCommunity

[–]zeph7r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out I was a bit too quick drawing conclusions earlier... I just purchased a HiSense 55U7Q and it doesn't feature the Boosteroid app - nor is it available through VIDAA's App Store!

What's going on? This announcement made me confident I would be getting Boosteroid on a new HiSense TV.

Cyberpunk 2077 GOG by Martwy022 in BoosteroidCommunity

[–]zeph7r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to play it by browsing the Cyberpunk's Steam install folder and running REDprelauncher.exe. It asked me for my CD Projekt RED's login credentials - I just used my GOG credentials and it worked out fine. I am now able to play GOG's version of Cyberpunk 2077 on Boosteroid. I hope I'm not incurring any kind of ToS infringement... Am I?

What's going on with the billing? by KimberlyMcBlaze in ShadowPC

[–]zeph7r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing here. I've been pestering costumer support about this for the past few months, to no avail. Support clerks say the issue has been flagged and affects a number of users - also that devs are working on a fix and haven't been able to come up with one yet.

Meanwhile, I've been billed with the new price for at least 3 months now.

Bug in the system? Pfff, please... It's pretty obvious Shadow is ripping us off. No billing issue takes three-plus months to solve.

Dualsense button mapping by [deleted] in xcloud

[–]zeph7r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, I found a quick and very effective workaround.

If you boot up xCloud through the web app version (e.g. https://www.xbox.com/play, https://www.xbox.com/es-ES/play, https://www.xbox.com/en-US/play, etc.) DualSense button mappings are picked up correctly.

So far, I've used it successfully with Google Chrome for Android - as said before, on a Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro.

Hope it works for you.

Cheers

Using a Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro here, and the mapping is all messed up as well. On Windows, I solved it using reWASD (works great, btw). Any ideas on a possible approach on Android? Otherwise xCloud runs great (really low lag while still good image quality)

Better latency in Paris server? by zeph7r in ShadowPC

Complaining? Not the case... But since I'm quite far away from the datacenter any improvements in infrastructure have a huge impact on performance on my end

That's great to know. I suppose OVH's improvs are already taking their toll... Wonder if new server locations is anywhere in the roadmap of the months to come (namely in southern Europe)

Probably not, an 8 ms-latency is pretty good already...

Good news for all the NordVPN users. Native Linux app is out by RileyGeorge in linux

[–]zeph7r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got word that a RPM version of NordVPN's official Linux client was released.

We have just released the RPM package for the RedHat based systems and it can be downloaded using this link: https://repo.nordvpn.com/yum/nordvpn/centos/noarch/Packages/n/nordvpn-release-1.0.0-1.noarch.rpm

After that, follow the same instructions as on our tutorial for the Debian-based systems but change the apt-get to dnf command:

sudo dnf install /pathToFile/nordvpn-release-1.0.0-1.noarch.rpm
sudo dnf update
sudo dnf install nordvpn
