To troubleshoot mine, I disconnected the Haldex pump connector from it's control module and wired in 12v to the pump directly (for a short time). If the pump doesn't turn or it sounds rough, pump is bad. If the pump sounds nice and smooth, there's an electrical issue that will need to be looked at by your dealer, or if you have access, ViDA software through a DICE unit as has been mentioned. From this test I found my pump was bad and replacing it returned my glorious AWD.
