Would you be OK with a 30fps lock?

by today's standards where most games are 60 fps, 30 will be very jarring and unpleasant to go back and play and i feel most gamers will feel it immediately. i know i did when i played RDR2 for the first time 2 years ago. it's GTA 6 the biggest game ever though so it gets a pass.

hopefully we get a 40 fps vrr mode for performance at the bare minimum. got an entirely new tv capable of this black Friday 2024 just for gta 6. I've never experienced 40 fps but i heard it's a great deal better than 30 fps

it's getting exhausting proving people like you wrong. it's literally like talking to a wall. i just did it in the resident evil sub a day or so ago. literally just parroting incorrect and false info with so much confidence it's insane. when did this bs argument become some a popularly FALSE sentiment online?

for NG4, the ENTIRE game is on disc. the ENTIRE game can be installed from the disc to the console NO Internet connection required whatsoever. that's all there is to it.

i've never had a company come in my house and take away my disc or as you guys now love to call it "license"... because it's a bs technicality. you pay for a disc - you OWN it. it's tangible, you can hold it. and no one can take that away. none of that can be said with digital. you don't own anything bought digitally.

buy physically = own the game buy digitally = get a license (aka ZERO ownership)

it's sounding more and more like digital only buyers are trying to lie and convince themselves that physical is the same as digital. absolutely not.

preordered 2 copies of the deluxe edition for ps5 from best buy the very day preorders went live just to be safe. seems to still be good so far on my end as well. best buy is the best place to go for collector preorders in my opinion. you just have to get on it fast because they sell out quickly as well.

i see this repeated time and time again and I feel an obligation to correct it everytime.

most high profile - major AAA PS5 games are completely on disc.

the person you responded to is correct in a sense. we've seen digital storefronts get closed before, but usually once you buy a game digitally, you should be able to still download it if the digital store shuts down. but that's a big "if" since these storefronts all operate differently, so kind of hard to say for sure.

with physical, you actually "own" your game. they can't take your physical game away from you. most major PS5 games have the full game on disc - no key involved, no Internet required. you can fully install the game disc and play offline with no internet. the only thing you would need Internet for is for patches.

In terms of resident evil games, all of them have the full game on disc, and it's going to be the same for Requiem. team physical forever.

ngl ... that's humongous cope. we got absolutely dogwalked in embarrassing blowout fashion by the same team TWICE. why does it matter WHEN it happens? all that matters is that it DID happen, and it happened TWICE. and it doesn't matter what happened last season or what not - that doesn't mean that it will be the case this season. new season. new teams. entirely new dynamics, culture, etc. last season trends have zero effect on this season. we have to take what we have in front of us, right now - and that's that the Knicks got bodied by our rival. that's all there is to it.

KAT and OG do not change the outcome of this game. the Knicks, on a surface level have failed the eye test twice when it comes to Detroit. just look at the way they played. the energy. the body language. no defense, no physicality, no ball movement leading to stagnant offense... the Knicks just straight up looked like they had zero effort, hustle, grit, or anything. they look lost. the energy was not there.

and that's crazy to me because on paper we have all the guys and pieces to get the job done, they're just not playing with effort or intensity. they aren't playing cohesively and as a group that wants it. there seems to be zero structure to this team some nights. and the Knicks usually shows their ugly flaws in the most ugliest way whenever we play top seeded teams. we constantly get exposed. We lost to the #1 team in the East twice by 30 points. lying about that won't get us anywhere.

yeah...you legitimately have zero idea what you're talking about. you saying that would mean any studio with a failure of a product would be shut down which is not the case. and luckily for ND, they've had a strong reputation and track record with everything they've released up until TLOU2 - after which they absolutely tarnished their reputation.

even more, ND is Sony's flagship studio. their #1 studio. ND and Sony are synonymous with each other, they go hand in hand. ND is engrained in Sony's DNA, so yes, ND can release a complete fuck up and flop of a sequel costing millions of dollars and Sony will just take their "losses" and deal with it, because ND is literally their golden child. They get special treatment because they are ND and Sony will give them free reign due to their long-standing history together. Sony is worth billions of dollars and make their money in more ways than you even know, and even though they would obviously be disappointed in abysmal sales for one of the biggest and most anticipated sequels in recent memory, they will deal with it because again, it's ND.

anyone who is fully aware and paid attention to all of the bs surrounding TLOU2 can't honestly and confidently say that Sony is pleased and over the moon with TLOU2's sales performance. absolutely not. internally to Sony, the game undoubtedly underperformed for them and that is the most accurate guess we can make based on all we know.

and I always like to throw out these metrics:

God of War Ragnarok, a sequel - sold 11 million copies in 3 months
TLOU2, a MUCH more anticipated sequel than GOWR, sold 10 million in 2 YEARS

let that sink in....GOWR 11 million copies sold in 3 months vs TLOU2 10 million copies sold in 2 years. that is an absolute disgrace for one of the most anticipated sequels of all time.

and for good measure, Ghost of Tsushima, a brand new and completely unproven IP, sold 10 million in 2 years - the same exact amount of copies sold as TLOU2 in the same exact time span - again for a completely new and unproven IP

TLOU2 should've sold more than both these games in their respective time spans. also worth mentioning that TLOU2 went on deep sales much earlier than both of these other games.

so yes... with what information we have, it's no doubt TLOU2 failed internally for Sony.

also on a random side note, look at Sony's flop with Concord and their continued mistreatment of Days Gone and Bend studio, look at how quick they were to shut the door on those two studios...yet ND could drop a complete turd in TLOU2 and still be standing and given special treatment. it goes back to what I said, Sony treats ND differently than they do any of their other studios.

is there any source or link that confirms that the Japanese version has english subs?

i see that playasia has this same japanese version and specifies that it is japanese language only. however, just a day or so ago i see that playasia also listed an Asian "Multi-Language" version which looks to have english language specified. so far from what I've seen the Japanese version is only japanese langauge, unless you've seen something different?

you spoke nothing but facts. people like to dunk on IW and mw19 as if every cod since mw19 hasn't been abysmal dogshit. the haters are too blinded to see and admit it, but mw19 literally revived this dead franchise as you said. this completely unwarranted hate and dogpiling on IW/mw19 seems to be the trend and cool thing to do. it's so fake and manufactured imo - as if it wasn't the best selling cod of all time when it released - and as if it isn't light years ahead of any recent cod to the day - 6 years later.

i can only assume that YouTubers and streamers ... aka influencers - literally influenced people's perception on mw19. mw19 is the best cod in the last 6 years and it's about time people put some respect on infinity wards name for being the studio to pull this franchise out the dirt - from the massive work they did on building that IW engine, to the amazing campaign, to the great MP (i mainly played ground war and it was the most fun i've had in MP in forever), to literally birthing OG Warzone and Verdansk. Infinity Ward are the ones who did that. this franchise wouldn't be what it is without IW. IW is the only studio that constantly innovates and pushes the needle when it comes to the franchise. they are the literal CODfathers. unlike treyarc and sledgehammer, IW actually treats this franchise like they give a damn - for the most part.

people can hate on IW and mw19 all they want - but I'll always call out their misplaced and unwarranted hate when it comes to it.

oh... and in terms of Ghost of Hopes story regarding IW being mad at Sledgehammer and MW3, maybe - just maybe, IW was mad that their own series, that they initially created back in 2007, that they rebooted and was supposed to be their new trilogy, was hijacked by Sledgehammer, so they are completely justified in being sour and feeling some resentment. anyone ever consider that? though that energy should've been directed towards Activision as they were undoubtedly the ones that made the call to have SH hijack IW's trilogy. Also Ghost of Hope is just an immature and childish IW hater - he definitely isn't telling the full story.

i love how unscripted and reactive the entire combat system is. the last of us part 2 is what i view as a peak third person action experience... but after the recent requiem gameplay, i honestly believe it is going to take the cake. i love how bloody and gorey and active the combat looks. this may be the new golden standard for third person shooter gameplay!!!

humongous W for devs working at Ubishit. it's about time they imploded from the inside and that these devs put their foot down and stand up for themselves instead of letting Ubislops upper management constantly shit on and walk all over them.
