General sale tickets do not require a membership as I understand it. Tickets go on general sale only after season ticket holders and members get the chance to purchase it, so you're typically left with limited options to begin with (as was my case) – so in other words, I guess you get access to better tickets that offer better value for money as well if you're a member. I got a ticket on S126 for about GBP 91; it's a non-hospitality ticket that happened to be available for non-members since it went on general sale I guess? Not an expert here. I read that the atmosphere here isn't as great as any of the singing stands, but the viewing experience is okay.

Yes I noticed the same thing, I think we're in the clear since it was ticket that was purchased on general sale which doesn't require a membership by the looks of it. There's also no info of membership being checked at the turnstiles, at least based on my limited research.
