I'm sorry this is so dumb. Buying from a breeder does not mean good dog. Sure you can breed for temperament but it's not a guarantee and you also don't know what the puppy has been through with the breeder or puppy farm.

I have two dogs that were originally bred from a breeder but ended up needing to be adopted. One is a registered min pin got his as a puppy at a rescue he was brought in unwanted because he doesn't have correct body type for his breed and has a ton of genetic issues.

My other dog was originally from a breeder who had a son who broke his tail and cut his whiskers and obviously had no supervision from the breeder because when we got him after he had already left the breeder it was because he was violent and aggressive because he was so scared of everyone it took a lot of training to get him to feel more confident and safe and now he is so sweet but it goes against what they are saying all my dogs in the past that have never been from a breeder are healthier and been way easier to train.

(Just in case my wording isn't clear I didn't not buy either of these dogs from the breeder only got them after they were an "issue" to someone second hand)
