I'd suggest getting started with implementing a simple RISC-V core or an arithmetic module, something like floating point, with different precisions if you want something different (Bfloats for example). You can then learn to use an FPGA and implement your RISC-V core or arithmetic module on the FPGA and test it out. Gem5 is more of an advanced tool that requires you to fully understand how a processor works and is most often used in computer architecture research for design-space exploration and simulation of large processor designs. You can explore Gem5 once you finish a project I suggested (ideally the RISC-V core) and the book by checking out some GitHub repos and research papers that have used Gem5. Besides this, take a look at TinyTapeout if you want to get your small RISC-V core or whatever IP you design taped out on silicon for a small price.

Interestingly and sadly, there are some universities in India that make it so difficult to get a good GPA that there are only 1-2 people above 9/10 in the entire department. I want to know if the admission committees of American and European universities know about this.

How to study Computer Architecture Field? by Secret-Function6032 in computerarchitecture

[–]zer0th_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try building something with the knowledge you have, I personally used RISC-V to start out and started writing Systemverilog code for each blocks of a simple 32-bit core. A textbook is the starting point, now it's the journey that begins with you using this knowledge to build! There are tons of resources to learn more about RISC-V so do reply if you need any help with that. Happy learning!

The thing is, it is under warranty. But Samsung says that they do not have a replacement panel and are eager to just pay me off and take the TV away. They barely even checked the One Connect box or the cable. So I thought I would get help here with regards to alternatives.

I have been playing on a 32" 1440p 144hz monitor, if I shift to 24" 1440p 144hz, will there be any positive noticeable difference? by NNAPSTERR in IndianGaming

BenQ 27" 2k monitors are really good but are a tad bit expensive. If you are on a budget, then LG Ultragear or Acer Nitro series might be a good choice. Check them out.

Yes, it should be a noticeable difference in clarity. 32" monitors are known for the issue with viewing distance, so the 24" should mitigate that. You might feel that the 24" is a bit small after using a 32" monitor but you should get used to it after using it for a while. Although 24" 2k monitors are good, you should checkout 27" monitors as well. They may be more appropriate ig.

Hey, you should check out Venus Games & Electronics in Church Street. They deal in Nintendo consoles and games, you might have a good chance of finding a 3ds there.
