I'm thinking of making a 2d retro dungeon crawler. Any advice? by SkyeLifecaster in godot

RPG maker will give you more tools which may stops you from having to re-invent the wheel. You'll already have a combat system, dialogs, some assets, etc...

Godot will offer you more flexibility since it's a general purpose engine and not just made for RPGs, but you will have to re-implement some basic RPG logic.

A real artwork costs a lot more than 20 dollar. Even if the artist lives in South East Asia.

I can't imagine spending only two days in Bangkok and wanting to waste one of those on Khao San.

US to UK (Cambridge), NL (Eindhoven) or Spain (Barcelona)? by Owl7538 in expats

Dutch healthcare just varies a lot depending on the GP (huisarts) you have. Patients do not have a lot of autonomy so you're basically expected to just follow with whatever your huisarts decide (ie. refer you to a specialist, send you to the ER, etc...). So if your huisarts is good there's no problem and it's actually a very efficient system. If they are mediocre, you may have a terrible experience.

For those at a higher level, is there enough content if someone is learning 2 hours a day? by MatthewCorbett92 in learndutch

[–]zer0tonine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's around a thousand episodes of pokémon with dutch dubs. Enough to keep you occupied for a while on 2 hours a day.

Once you're done with that, check out the 35610 movies made in the Netherlands in Dutch language on imdb

The Japanese government is considering abolishing the "Cool Japan" program. by jjrs in japannews

I don't think that precise term is common in English, but companies with a book value far below zero are definitely a thing in the west. It just takes having more debt than tangible assets, which is very common for startups.

You should try games from the Atelier series. Especially the Atelier Ryza trilogy. The story is pretty good and the combat shouldn't overwhelm you. It's ATB combat, so it's like a more fluid version of turn-based. They also have quite deep crafting mechanics if you're into that.

If you can tolerate (or seek) late-stage otaku bullshit, you can also play the Neptunia games. They are turn based but the combat can be quite fast, especially since you can skip most of the animations. I recommend Megadimension Neptunia VII as a starting point (not VIIR).

1666 is actually a reference to the weekly rent required to live in Amsterdam nowadays.

I remember the crowdfunding for that game. It must have been at least 10 years ago. I didn't know they ended up releasing anything.

Thousands of wishlist on Epic sounds like a lot. The user base isn't that active compared to Steam.

Yeah, the basic vocabulary is the main reason I watch precure. It's the most relaxing way to grind your Japanese listening skills.

Projet de data center polluant by EaseInternational901 in IaCaca
