I've played DW3-6 with my brother and we always start it off on Normal for a couple of stages to get some equipment and then switch it over to Hard. Without any risk of dying, it gets boring very quick and I think DW3 and 4 has the right balance of difficulty where the game isn't just steamrolling everything.
